On Planets covers Bon Iver’s ‘Flume’
Vancouver-based On Planets has flipped one of indie music’s most precious artifacts and reworked Bon Iver‘s single, “Flume.” The producer has taken the single from the 2007 album and turning into a Moving Castle-esque flip that will remind the listener of future bass’ early days. On Planets elaborated on the single:
“I love the tranquility of the original version, but the way it comes out whenever I try to sing it is always kind of bold and raw. I felt that such an open-ended song deserved another version, so here it is, a little gutsier.”
On Planets’ “Flume” cover brings the single up to speed by embedding a modern touch.
