Ekali releases version 2.0 of his Triple J Mixup series
Canadian bass music mogul Ekali has truly hit his stride, as the internet sensation recently released a “tribute” version of Porter Robinson‘s record ‘Language.’ Known for his world-class mixes and remixes, Ekali was featured on Diplo & Friends a few months ago, and his continued his fine form with a new mix for Triple J‘s Mixup series.
The hour-long mix features an eclectic selection of various sub-genres of bass music, including trap, hip-hop, future bass and even the odd drum & bass track, which allows it to cater to an extremely wide and diverse audience. Much like his Diplo & Friends mix, Triple J Mixup 2.0 contains a ton of new and unreleased music, including his upcoming collaboration with Troyboi, “Truth.” Ekali’s curation expertise is clear to see as he is able to produce a well-balanced mix while still featuring illustrious names such as Rezz, Nero, Skrillex, Zhu, and Noisia — that makes for addictive listening.
