Good Morning Mix: The Glitch Mob’s Justin Boreta delivers vibrant downtempo Dia de los Muertos mix

As one-third of The Glitch Mob, Justin Boreta has surely enjoyed the largest audience in Los Angeles’ burgeoning bass-driven ‘beat’ scene (alongside his band mates, ediT and ooah). When he’s not also busy as one-half Nastyways, the musician boasts his alternate, subtler solo project: Boreta.

Boreta debuted his “Ondalinda” mix as an ambient solo performance during México’s Ondalinda Festival, on Dia de los Muertos, 2016. Boreta later decided to ramp the mix up with a few tunes for re-release, marking it a vibrant sonic expedition in the chilled-out terrain of downtempo. Audacious, rich, and resonant, with a tribal hue and Latin-tinged acoustics, the “Ondalinda” mix is the perfect sunrise set and sure to ease anyone nicely into their early morning ritual.
