Life and Death announces experimental compilation series ‘from a long-aborted film’ out in November

Italian record label and event brand  Life and Death is set to release its first installment in a new compilation series titled Displaced Soundtracks, out Nov. 3.

According to the label, the LP “gathers music from a long-aborted film,” with the archetypal soulful dance music and post-rock aesthetic the label’s become akin to over the years.

Displaced Soundtracks will feature a number of artists, including KiNK, Simian Mobile Disco, Appleblim, Redshape, Axel Boman, Danny Daze and Stimming. Label owner Manfredi Romano aka DJ Tennis encouraged the producers “to display their hidden talents as composers.” In turn, the music emanates an ambient, post-punk, gospel house aura. Indeed, this is apparent on the first track revealed from the compilation by Stimming & Lambert titled “Trafic Aérien.”

Displaced Soundtracks Tracklist:
A1 Artefakt – Magnetic Midnight
A2 Black Merlin – OPI
A3 Appleblim – Sacred Rowan Grove
B1 Stimming & Lambert – Trafic Aérien
B2 KiNK – Megadrop
B3 Fango – Nung
C1 Axel Boman – Just Imagine (Part I & II)
C2 Duncan Gray – Smelly Little Man
D1 Simian Mobile Disco – Hades Rocket
D2 Redshape – Theme
D3 Danny Daze – Orb

Life And Death’s Displaced Soundtracks is out Nov. 3.
