Premiere: Darin Epsilon releases prized ‘Silver Moon’ remix, previewed on ABGT

Darin Epsilon is a veritable stalwart of the American progressive scene. The producer has clocked in at over a decade of experience, with accomplishments that include winning a John Digweed-held DJ competition and owning his own label — Perspectives Digital. Currently, he maintains a busy schedule where he continues to purvey the sound he loves in across the globe while also nurturing new talent on his label and at events like his showcase at ADE.

His work is recognized by more than just the underground world as well. In fact, a high honor was recently bestowed upon Epsilon when Above & Beyond selected him for guest mix duties on ABGT in June. One of the most appreciated tracks of the mix, his re-work of Sol Flare’s “Silver Moon,” is now set for a November 3 release after first appearing on the iconic radio show.

“Silver Moon (Darin Epsilon Remix)” is progressive house in one of its most palatable forms; sturdy percussion keeps a consistent momentum, as the mind is taken through a sentimental eight-minute journey that is heightened by haunting vocals and twinkling synth accents. While vocals are the centerpiece of Epsilon’s edit, that isn’t to say his melodic work is diminished in any way. He provides a hypnotic, bittersweet canvas that stands as well on its own than underlining touching lyrics.
