SAKIMA drops candid, left-field pop EP, ‘Ricky’

Item Image

SAKIMA made a splash back in May with his debut EP, Facsimile. Joining forces with LA tastemaker imprint Moving Castle, the LGBTQ+ producer showcased his inventive brand of left-field, R&B-influenced pop to an impressive degree. With his new 6-track EP, Ricky, he’s charting similar territory.

Once again teaming up with Moving Castle, SAKIMA delivers silky downtempo beats mixed with candid lyricism. It’s the kind of upfront honesty that makes the work feel all the more authentic. True to the mission of the project, SAKIMA’s Ricky EP explores sexual expression from an LGBTQ+ perspective, while simultaneously adorning the compositions in refreshing pop foundations.
