Daft Punk’s online merchandise shop heads for closure

Daft Punk online merchandise storefront will soon shut down.

The company responsible for coordinating the shipping of placed orders and general store maintenance, Sandbag, has faced continual scrutiny after many fans’ orders remained uncompleted, their items not sent out in time with the log of registered orders. Sandbag’s negligence to identify certain items as sold out additionally led fans to place orders for merchandise that was no longer in stock. While shoppers that found themselves in such a situation were refunded, the refunds were slowly processed, exaggerating inconvenience.

The site’s stock has lately been noticeably depleted, with the vast majority of the items listed on the storefront categorized as sold out. Twitter user Daft Legends (@DaftLegends) reached out to Sandbag on Twitter to inquire whether the lack of available merchandise signals a welcome update to the online shop. Sandbag replied stating that the shop is “winding down shortly.”

Sandbag did not comment as to whether the storefront’s impending closure will make way for a revamped version of the merch shop in its place.
