Good Morning Mix: Thomas Jack delivers prolific five-and-a-half-hour Groove Cruise Miami set

‘The world’s “largest floating dance music festival,” Groove Cruise recently wrapped up another installment in its Miami party series, sailing to a Coco Cay Private Island and Nassau in the Bahamas as more than 50 artists set the tone for the trip, delivering sets that would form the cruise’s collective soundtrack.

Thomas Jack, one of Groove Cruise’s headliners, stunned all aboard with an ambient house set five-and-a-half-hours in duration. Rife with clean rhythms and seamless transitions, the set had surfaced in recorded form as a sensuous sampling of the late night” approach to house music mixing that has characterized Jack’s summer stint as a Hï Ibiza resident.

A luxuriant exposition of Jack’s progression as a live performer, the set is sure to make all listeners grateful that the performance has been recorded and released, rather than forever anchored in the evening of Jack’s 2017 appearance on the Groove Cruise.
