Calvin Harris answers DJ Snake’s call to donate to Rohingyas, gives $20,000
DJ Snake has been broadcasting live from Bangladesh where he is spreading awareness from the largest refugee camp in the world.
The refugee camp is full of Rohingyas, a minority group native to Myanmar who are unable to claim citizenship anywhere because the Myanmar government refuses to recognize them. DJ Snake has been using his platform to showcase the atrocities and devastation this group faces in the hope that people will answer his call to action to donate money.
Calvin Harris answered this call to action by donating $20,000 in two $10,000 installments. He donated the money under his birth name Adam Wiles — the producer’s birth name and recognized by fans.

As if Harris’ contributions weren’t noble enough, his low key style of giving is also laudable.
Just over $1.5 million has been donated, and the donation goal is currently $2 million. Fans who are interested in supporting this cause can donate here.
