Getter reveals personal insight about dealing with depression
At the risk of being romanticized, depression is often cited by musicians as a source of major inspiration. Yesterday, Getter shared some personal insight regarding his experience with mental illness and how, in some instances, it can inspire emotive pieces of art.
The producer and DJ also noted that he “made some of the most beautiful songs to help me cope a few months ago,” continuing by noting that “[when] i’m sad i listen to them and they remind me that there is a way out.” Getter’s personal insight is likely welcomed with open arms from the bass music community, and serves as a reminder that dealing with depression is a constant struggle.
