Trentemøller enthralls on aptly-named new track, ‘On A Cold Christmas Night’

Copenhagen based Anders Trentemøller has a knack for capturing heart-wrenching melodic moments. His exceptional productions are fused with a sonic trademark somewhere between post-punk, indie, and electronic. As a result, he’s established himself as an incredibly unique purveyor over the years. Influences like the shoegazers My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Joy Division, or even Depeche Mode seep from his music in a dazzling decorum.

More recently, the Danish producer has been posting short clips of his favorite tracks from his discography. Now, he’s ended the series with a new song, which is an apt celebration of the holiday season.

“Merry Christmas everyone,” said the producer of the new track. “It’s been fun to share some of my songs with you for the last 24 days. The 24th in every “Julekalender” (as we call it in Denmark) is always something special, a surprise. So here is a new little Christmas tune from me to all of you! Originally I only did 16 bars of the music for the documentary about me, but I kept working on the music and in the last few weeks I made it into a little song for you guys to enjoy this Christmas Day! All the best wishes to you all and thanks for the support.”
