Egyptian duo Aly & Fila‘s label FSOE Recordings has seemingly remained committed to releasing quality trance music in 2018, as the label marked the start of the new year with a selection of captivating trance singles and mixes. Perhaps the most eye-catching of the tracks on display is Serbian duo Vintage & Morelli’s rework of Trance legend The Thrillseekers‘ “Amber.”

Opting for a somewhat unconventional approach, the duo has slightly diluted the quintessential trance atmosphere of the original mellifluent track, opting instead for a sound that borrows elements from deep house, which can be heard in the intro and percussion in the bass drop. While this may raise eyebrows, the duo has managed to merge the styles to perfection, delivering a fresh perspective on the original.
