[UPDATED]: Eric Prydz teases new immersive holographic light show, announces debut dates HOLO

Progressive house pioneer Eric Prydz is teasing an expansive new live lighting setup. Occupying three dimensions, the new set up looks more like a hologram than a traditional light scheme. Sharing a video of the rig to Twitter, Prydz says that he will “announce Wednesday” the details of the immersive setup.

With a string of releases including “Stay With Me,” “Fulda” and and a four-track EP under the Tonja Holma alias, Prydz continues to further cement himself as one of progressive house’s most forthright producers. 2018 is slated to be one of Prydz’s biggest years yet and, considering these visuals, his live sets this summer will likely be his most visually appealing in years.

[UPDATED 2/1/2018 10:35 ET] Eric Prydz has officially announced a string of HOLO live tour dates, with the first leg of shows to be held at Belsonic Belfast, Braehead Arena Glasgow, and Creamfields.

“HOLO follows several years of development work behind the scenes, using holographic technology to create and design a tourable holographic Eric Prydz live experience” his team stated in an official press release regarding the shows.

“Prydz first started using holograms in his stand-alone, site specific EPIC shows. Following last year’s 15,000 capacity sell-out in London, EPIC returns in 2019 with its most ambitious, innovative design to date.”
