Here are the dance music nominations for the 2018 JUNO Awards

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences’ annual JUNO Awards, essentially the Grammy Awards for Canadian musicians, has announced the nominees for its 46th annual edition. Originally beginning as The Gold Leaf Awards in 1970, the JUNO Awards has grown from a one-night industry event in Toronto, ON, to a national week-long music celebration.

Nominations for Dance Recording of the Year:

DVBBS – “Not Going Home” ft Gia Koka & CMC$
Felix Cartal – “Get What You Give
KAPRI – “Deeper”
Nick Fiorucci – “Closer” ft Laurell
Sultan + Shepard – “Almost Home” ft Nadia Ali & Iro

A few of the previous winners for the category include deadmau5 (2008-2011), Tiga, and Keys N Krates.

Electronic Album of the Year :

Blue Hawaii – Tenderness
CRi – Someone Else
Dabin – Two Hearts
Kid Koala ft Emilíana Torrini – Music To Draw To: Satellite
REZZ – Mass Manipulation

Electronic album of the year has been awarded since 2011. Previous winners include Caribou (for both Swim and Our Love), Tim Hecker, Grimes, and Ryan Hemsworth.

JUNO week is set for March 19-25 in Vancouver, BC. Viewers can watch the 2018 JUNO Awards on Sunday, March 25 on CBC.
