Premiere: BLOND:ISH – Cruising
BLOND:ISH hold a keen grasp over all things ethereal and carnal. Their lush, often nature-infused brand of house has transformed them into veritable icons in the underground sphere, with their well-tuned sets fitting perfectly in locations like Burning Man, Tulum, and Ibiza. Outside of their usual house-inclined sound, the duo have also proven their prowess in eclectic electronica as well, impressing their fanbase with their Welcome To The Present album on Kompakt at the end of 2015.
They find themselves on German imprint Katermukke for their first release of 2018 — a two-piece extended player, Colocada. Its closer, “Cruising” makes for a fluid aural adventure, quite literally “cruising” along highways of drawn-out synth melodies and grooving bass-lines. Minimal at its core, “Cruising” still rocks the dancefloor while demonstrating that clever arrangement is all that’s needed for a top piece of music.
BLOND:ISH will be stopping by Miami at the end of March for Damian Lazarus‘ Get Lost party. Prior to then, Colocada is available for pre-order here.
