After taking a break from solo work to focus on Dog Blood, Alex Ridha is back in Boys Noize mode, gearing up to release his Go Hard EP in late June. Though the release is still a month away, this week he treated fans to a sneak peak by previewing its titular track. Ridha himself describes “Go Hard” as “acid/(t)rap,” and the result is exactly what you’d expect from the combo. With a pogoing vocal intro, slow rolling synthy bassline and straight trap break, the sound is Boys Noize as we’ve never heard him before. Though the tune appears to be the only trap-based track on the EP, it is not the last to feature acid sounds, and some 909s are promised as well.
