DA’s Sunday Morning Medicine

This week’s edition of Sunday Morning Medicine features everything from deep dubstep in the way of ENiGMA Dubz, to deep house from the likes of Touch Sensitive and Gorgon City, to some indie dance in the form of Phoenix and Kartell.

If you missed any of last week’s mellower outputs, check out Fehrplay’s deep remix to “Give It to the People,” the official remixes to Crystal Fighters’ “You & I,” and G. Vump’s celestial take on Birdy Nam Nam’s “Written in the Sand.” For five tracks to pull you out of your morning slump, click past the break.

1. ENiGMA Dubz’ deep dubstep remix to CoMa’s “Wouldn’t It Be Good If It Was True” will make you second guess your state of consciousness. Are you dreaming? Are you awake? Does it really matter?

2. Touch Sensitive’s “Pizza Guy” is a splendid deep house production on Future Classic making deft use of vocal snippets, fluxing melodies, and claps.

3. Phoenix’s music is dancey enough on its own, however it certainly doesn’t suffer from the additional bass in Melee’s remix to “Trying to Be Cool.”

4. French producer Kartell layers twangy and bulging chord stabs in his summertime house remix to “Photomaton.”

5. Comprised of Foamo and RackNRuin, Gorgon City is making some serious waves in the deep house scene. The bassline on their remix to Clean Bandit’s “Nightingale” is absolutely absurd.
