Justin Jay’s ascent into the underground’s spotlight has been an expeditious process. The twenty year old University of Southern California student was taken under the umbrella of San Francisco’s paramount Dirtybird imprint, garnering support from an industry heavyweight like Claude VonStroke at a tenderly ripe age. He makes his Culprit Records debut with The Jaguar EP, previewing the lead single on his SoundCloud page. The track fits the repertoire of the LA-based imprint impeccably, giving way to tranquil guitar strings and an effectively catchy bass line. Not purchasing this track on it’s September 4th release date would be considered a great loss by any true music appreciator.
