He debuted on Toolroom Records with volume one of the Boom Boom Room EP series back in May, returning four months down the line to boldly trample the lines of the classic and the commercial. A clash of classic house key work and deeper melodic apexes, “Rush” benefits significantly from employing Soraya Vivian’s vocal assets, forging a radio-friendly club offering without a hint of the cheese factor. Accompanied by further remix duties from Tough Love, Rory Lyons, Groovebox and Toolroom’s own Pete Griffiths, Doorly remains a most comfortable and versatile component to a label with its finger still firmly kept to the pulse of modern house music.
