DA’s Sunday Morning Medicine

Sunday Morning Medicine is a feature from Dancing Astronaut dedicated to the mellower side of electronic music. We bring you our favorite therapeutic selections — old and new — in an attempt to alleviate the agonizing effects of a long weekend of partying.

This week’s edition of Sunday Morning Medicine features a plethora of enticing vocal-aided productions. From Gorje Hewek & Izhevski’s brilliant remix of Bon Iver’s “Minnesota,” to Jacques Greene’s latest output, some classic Solomun, Com Truise’s hypnotizing remix of Maroon 5, and DEVolution’s newest future garage original, this week’s SMM is bound to leave a lasting imprint on your sonic consciousness.

If you missed any of DA‘s more tranquil tracks from the past week, make sure to check out Goldroom’s deep disco remix of Charlie XCX,  Lee Foss and MK’s remix of “Thirteen,” and Infected Mushroom’s Friends on Mushrooms Vol. 1 EP. For five tracks to make your morning a little less lethargic and a lot more musical, click past the break.

1. We’re big fans of Bon Iver remixes. Who isn’t? Gorje Hewek & Izhevski provide a minimal house edit of “Minnesota” by Bon Iver.

2. SMM regular Jacques Greene is back with his newest original, “Quicksand,” a deep, dreamlike house production.

3. Solomun never disappoints. His tribal house take on Jamie Woon’s “Night Air” is absolutely spellbinding. Pick it up for free from SoundCloud.

4. Com Truise puts a slow, psychedelic spin on Maroon 5’s “One More Night.”

5. DEVolution’s new track “Listen to the Badman” was recently premiered by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1. For fans of garage, this is a must.
