Beatport donates 100% of today’s net proceeds towards the Keep a Child Alive foundation

beatportal-keep-a-child-alive

Can anyone think of a better way to give back than to actually pay for the music we all enjoy AND help save the lives of children stricken with HIV/AIDS in Africa? We didn’t think so.

Today and today only, the fine people at Beatport will be donating 100% of their net proceeds towards the Keep a Child Alive foundation.

Keep A Child Alive is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing life-saving treatment, orphan care, nutrition, and support services to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. There are 15 million children orphaned in sub-saharan Africa alone, please join us in supporting their efforts to care and provide support for children and families affected by AIDS.

For those of you who have been enjoying your music for free — take this opportunity to give back, buy a couple of tracks and help those in need.

Santa Claus is watching.

Avicii and the Ash Alliance launch House for Hunger Tour

avicii-house-for-hunger

Sometimes a dose of perspective is all you need. Our financial problems are superficial at best: $10 beers and cab fares, expensive festival tickets and neon t-shirts. The thought of being unable to afford a basic human need escapes us. Most, if not all of our fans enjoy 3 meals a day (even the college kids eating Ramen noodles) but for a vast majority of less fortunate American citizens, hunger has become a real problem.

By embodying the energy and love inherent in all dance music, Avicii, The Ash Alliance, and At Night have teamed up with Feeding America to bring us the “House for Hunger” tour.

Starting on January 5th, Avicii plans to flex his progressive house muscle by playing 25 shows in 25 days across the US — all in the name of feeding the starving and impoverished in America.

Read past the break for tour dates, tickets, and information from Avicii and Ash themselves.

Vandalism – INSANE (Original Mix) [Preview]

Vandalism is back! Here is the official preview of the Aussie couple’s latest face melter “Insane.” Andy and Cassie Van know how to create some truly dirty electro and with remixes by Franz Novotny and Cold Blank we can’t wait for the full release. With a high pitched bleepy build and a drop that is designed to start a mosh pit, this is the type of aggressive electro we’ve come to expect from Vandalism.  This track will be available in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned!

Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano – Lethal Industry (Original Mix)

Sunnery & Ryan

A lot has changed in the 10 years since the Tiesto released the original “Lethal Industry.” Thankfully, we have Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano to give this classic track the fresh paintjob it rightfully deserves.

With dance music’s recent ascent back into popular culture it only seems right that some of the past’s biggest tracks be brought back into the spotlight. SJ & RM do well in honoring the original by leaving much of it’s charm intact. By morphing it into a progressive house track with heavy bass and pulsating synths, it as if they dropped a brand new engine in their parent’s old Porsche.

Chuckie – Who is Ready to Jump? (Dada Life Remix)

Dancing Astronaut covers Dada Life at Ruby Skye

Everything King Midas touched turned to gold, and everything Dada Life touches gets covered in thick, sausage-flavored, electro grease. The Dada Life guys took Chuckie’s dirty dutch sound, smashed it through a meatgrinder, and neatly packaged it in the discarded intestines of the original mix. The grease here is so thick that you can almost feel your arteries clogging.

Pick up the 320 on Beatport — then go get some bloodwork done, because after one listen your triglycerides are going to be totally out of whack.

Antichrist – Night Shadow (F.O.O.L. Dubstep Remix)

antichrist-fool

The brainchild of two fed up guys from Sweden, F.O.O.L. (Fuck Our Ordinary Lives) produces some of the darkest electro we have ever heard. Much darker than what we usually post, this remix of Antichrist’s “Night Shadow” is bone-shatteringly heavy. It’s the type of track that plays in the background of nightmares.

Chuckie – Who is Ready to Jump? (Dada Life Remix) [Preview]

dadalife

The Dada Life boys are back again, this time remixing Chuckie’s dutch house banger “Who is Ready to Jump?”
Set to be released on December 12th via Big Beat Records this remix has everything you’d expect from the crazy Swedes responsible for “Kick out the Epic Motherfucker” “Happy Violence” and “Big Bad Wolf (Dada Life Remix)” It’s dark, loud, and ominous featuring their signature “sausage-fattened” sound, huge kicks and unparalleled energy.

Preview after the break.

Diplo – Horsey Remixes EP

diplo-horsey

To the left, to the right! The mastermind behind Mad Decent records, Diplo, just dropped another moombahton monster.  The “Horsey Remixes EP” has a little something for everyone, as long as that something is squealing synths, off tempo kicks, and candy coated vocals so pointless that you can’t help but have them get stuck in your head.
