Jochen Miller refuses to stay within the boundaries of trance, progressive, or electro house, as he showcases so finely on his latest “Nevada.” Starting from the 1:00 mark “Nevada” goes into an infectiously minimalistic drop that will instantly cause big rooms and festivals to react wildly. Of course, going back to his trance roots, Jochen Miller inserts segments filled with uplifting lead play and funky samples, which all come together with the unmatchable percussions that carry the track throughout the 6:23. Now out on Big & Dirty Records, “Nevada” is the perfect follow up to some of Miller’s best work such as “Flashback,” “Summer,” and “Wild and Perfect Day.”

Following up their latest single “Thank You,” Third Party’s “Somebody To Love” is another deservingly placed record amongst the Size Records family. Doing what they do best, Harry Bass and Jonnie Macaire created a track filled with melodic surges and harmonic undertones, which couldn’t fit more perfectly with Dirty Vegas’s emotional vocals. Topping it all off is Third Party’s solid drum-work that they never fail to bring to the table. Making their NYC debut at Size In The Park, September is most certainly an exciting month for the English duo.

After Grant Smilie and Walden’s successful release of “A Million Lights,” Bauer and Lanford have decided to put their enchanted progressive twist on the track. Zoe Badwi’s vocals set a gentle tone in the beginning of the tune to go along withe a buzz of euphoric harmonies. The track then goes in a slightly unoriginal direction — like most Swedish progressive tracks do — a drop consisting of joyous melodies and steady kick drums. Although Bauer and Lanford’s effort is valiant, the original “A Million Lights” seems to win the battle of creativity and freshness.
Daleri, a relatively unknown Swedish trio, is offering a new electro house release on Trice recordings. Whoever said the Swedes are only good for progressive house was very mistaken.”Touche” offers a variety of sequences, which are all composed of moving lead play, beautiful harmonies, and wobbly break downs that are reminiscent of a Wolfgang track. This trio may not come close to the success of Swedish House Mafia but Daleri’s “Touche” is a sign that they are capable of great productions.
