Hot off of his high-energy electro remix of Kaskade’s “Turn it Down”, Le Castle Vania is back with a brand new original. The Atlanta based DJ and producer departed from his usual hard-hitting electro to offer up a refreshing nu-disco gem. Fans of the Australian Disco scene will love this track.
Coachella has once again outdone itself, assembling a line-up that would make a standalone dance festival jealous. Notable acts include Swedish House Mafia (no big deal), Justice, Afrojack, Avicii, Kaskade, and David Guetta, to name a few. Organizers have expanded the popular festival into two separate weekends (April 13-15 and April 20-22), so get your tickets soon. Coachella tickets are known to go quick after the line-up is announced.
Yesterday DA’s favorite Parisian DJ, Gregori Klosman, released his 8th installment of KLOSMAIA. The Year End mix features all of Klosman’s biggest tunes from 2011, including Kameha, Endless, Low Battery, and a slew of awesome remixes. Tracklist after the jump.
Lost in all the hoopla that was SHM at MSG, was A-Trak’s sensational opening performance. Here’s the official video showcasing his word class skills and some behind the scene moments with Jacques Lu Cont and Swedish Hosue Mafia.
Interesting little side note. It appears A-Trak, who’s long been endorsed by Serato and served as a Beta tester, has made the switch from Scratch Live to Traktor. A bit of a shocker, no?
Sebastian ”Coucheron“ is about to put Asker, Norway on the map in a big way. Now 17 years old, Coucheron started playing drums, guitar, and piano at the early age of 10, forming his first rock band in the process. Although he began tinkering with production 3 years ago, he was never a fan of EDM until 2010, at which point he began DJ’ing.
In his words, “I figured I had to start at some point”. Influenced by modern day staples such as Deadmau5, Wolfgang Gartner, and Daft Punk.
But it was German duo Spencer & Hill who really first got him into electronic music, and he is still very inspired by their sound to this day. This is quite evident in Coucheron’s debut self-titled EP on Big Beat Records featuring original tracks “Outrageous” and “Speed Me Up”. With the original version already at almost a half million YouTube views, “Outrageous” has become a bit of a phenomenon. This new version has big melodic synths leading to a squelchy break of epic proportions. Second track on the release “Speed Me Up” is another electro monster with infectious claps and a huge bassline throughout.
Coucheron’s debut self-titled EP is being released on Beatport on December 27th by Big Beat / Atlantic Records. This amazing, young music prodigy is on a major rise in the EDM. Get his EP and keep your eyes peeled for more Coucheron on his Soundcloud coming soon!
This episode of Dancing Astronaut Radio is mixed by our good friends PeaceTreaty. The boys went all out on this exclusive podcast, loading it with several unreleased bangers, including new R3hab and Steve Aoki remixes. PeaceTreaty ties everything together with their own originals, edits, and remixes capping it off with their monster remix of “GO”.
This episode of Dancing Astronaut Radio is mixed by our good friend Morgan Page. With over 130 remixes to his name, this Grammy-nominated producer showed no signs of slowing down in 2011. Though we’ve seen quite a bit of him this year, Page’s biggest was undoubtedly “In The Air,”a monstrous collaboration with Sultan, Ned Shepard, and BT. This stunning tune serves as the opening track to what I can only describe as one of our best podcasts to date.

This episode of Dancing Astronaut Radio is mixed by Canadian DJs Dzeko&Torres. The young duo is quickly on the rise, having already gathered support from artists like Chuckie, Mark Mendes, Jus Jack and many more. Residing out of Toronto, the two look set for international prominence as they aim to leave their mark for years to come.
The two started their career in 2009 and their accolades have led to numerous dj gigs in and around Ontario, making them a home town favourite with promoters and fans. Their first Beatport release came via Mark Mendes’ Starter Records, and became a staple in local clubs and radio shows. The pair headed straight back to the studio to work their magic, following soon after with original releases on Dirty Dutch and CR2 records, and remixes for Jus Jack on Moda records.
The duo is currently in the works of several original releases as well as many collaborations with respected artists. Along with their current work, Dzeko&Torres have upcoming releases on CR2, Joia Records, and Dim Mak. Having found a sound that works for them, these two youngsters look prepared and ready to become a staple in the electronic music world.
