Cazzette releases Eject Part II, but you still can’t buy it

EJECT Cazzette

Just a month after we took a look at part I, Cazzette has launched part II of their debut album, Eject. The second installment strays away from their signature dub-house sound and finds a more upbeat tone with two out of three tracks containing vocals. Things start off with “Weapon,” which is carried by female vocals that blend with a light progressive beat to set the tone for the other tracks. “Endorphine” contains electro elements but its airy beat makes this the most uplifting track on the EP. “Surrender” is a male vocal track with an electro build, that rises and falls into a pulsating bassline, though we wish it hit a bit harder.  Since Cazzette has partnered with Spotify, you can’t purchase the tracks – only streaming is available. Overall,  Part II doesn’t leave us begging for more, it just makes us wonder why Spotify was the distribution method of choice.

Steve Aoki – It’s The End Of The World As We Know It EP

cover

2012 has been a huge year for Steve Aoki. After his debut album, Wonderland, he quickly followed up with Wonderland: Remixed, and is back before the year ends with It’s the End of the World as We Know It EP. The three track EP is a nice reminder that Aoki is still in the production game, and can not only crowd raft, cake people, and spray champagne, but also produce music.

The EP is definitely something that you can rage to – but we beg of you Steve, change the show for 2013, blow us away. You can listen to It’s the End of the World as We Know It EP , hear our thoughts after the break, and purchase it from Beatport via Dim Mak Records.

Madeon – The City (The M Machine Remix)

6372173

It’s been a couple of months since Madeon unleashed “The City” onto the world and now American group, The M Machine is adding their own style. The vocals remain the same besides a glitched segment creating a very different feel from the original. By removing the pop sound and adding a lot more progressive elements, The M Machine has managed to keep “The City” fresh and current.  You can grab The M Machine’s remix now on Beatport from Popcultur.

Dzeko & Torres vs. Crossways – Togi (Preview)

dzeko2

Quickly following up their last preview, Dzeko & Torres are back with another collaboration, this time with fellow Canadian’s Crossways. “Togi” was first premiered in David Guetta’s 128th DJ mix, and could become Dzeko & Torre’s biggest track yet. After a simple build, the track drops into an unexpected drum pattern until leading into a sample from Led Zepplin’s “Immigrant Song.” There is no news on a release date just yet, but we have a feeling that this track could make Dzeko & Torres more of a household name.

Jordy Dazz – Claymore (Original Mix)

6333469

After collaborating with Dannic on his last release, “Fuego,” Jordy Dazz is back with a bang. “Claymore” is Jordy’s fifth original mix of the year, and he continues to lay down hard hitting beats. The track is incredibly drum heavy, with a stomping bassline that will make you want to get up and break it down. This is the 50th release for Revealed Records and it seems nothing is slowing them down. If you like what Jordy is doing, you can download “Claymore” on Beatport.

Deadmau5 looking for animators to produce video for ‘Telemiscommunications’

heapmau5

It seems as though Deadmau5 has burned his music video budget for 2012 and is looking to  fans to create a masterpiece to his collaboration with Imogen Heap, “Telemiscommunications.” Joel and Imogen Heap – heapmau5 – are looking for twenty different artists to work together to bring their idea to life. The story they are looking to animate revolves around a businessman unable to communicate effectively with those the he loves. Frustrations continue to grow until the businessman receives a text asking “Did I tell you I loved you today xx.” It’s an interesting concept and right up deadmau5′s alley, he’s reached out to his fans for contributions numerous times in the past. The contest ends December 10th, so read the full rules and fire up your favorite animation studio because who wouldn’t want their video seen by heapmau5′s combined 7.5 million fans.

Jordy Dazz – Claymore (Preview)

After a collaboration with Dannic on “Fuego” and a massive remix of “Fearless Hearts,” Jordy Dazz returns to the studio to deliver a ferocious original mix. “Claymore” was first previewed by Revealed Records owner, Hardwell, earlier this year (you may recognize it from his Electric Zoo set or his mash-up laden, Essential Mix.)

Jordy’s gritty style comes full circle on “Claymore,” framing the track with a horn-like cascade of ebbing synthesis and big room charm, the opening percussion pattern quickly develops into a squealing, Dutch-derived, build that culminates in a megalithic drop and crispy synth slams.

Thankfully we don’t have to wait long to get our hands on a 320kbps version, “Claymore” is out December 10th.
