Dzeko & Torres have been quick on releases lately and are gearing up for their next hit, “Hey.” The new track was played during Steve Aoki’s essential mix and will also be released on his label, Dim Mak. The heavy electro bassline propels the track forward with long rises and falls to keep the crowd going. No news on a release date but it is clear that Dzeko & Torres are prepping themselves for a big year.
In case you were looking for a little Dirty Dutch this New Year’s Eve, tickets for JackedNYE are now on sale. The show will feature Afrojack, R3hab, Shermanology, Quintino, and Bobby Burns at the massive pier 94 event space. This is by far one of the best venues in NYC and after seeing Avicii last year, we know the pier will be rocking. Presale tickets start at $63 First release tickets start at $78 and increase in price after that, so act quickly. If Afrojack isn’t your style, Pretty Lights, Sander Van Doorn, Armin Van Buuren, and probably Dada Life, will all be in the Big Apple watching the ball drop.
Although Showtek used to be strictly hardstyle, they have teamed up with fellow Musical Freedom artist Justin Prime to release their latest track, “Cannonball.” A massive big-room electro track that starts with a low background bass, “Cannonball” quickly develops into a period of wild percussion and echoing synths before finally culminating in a drop that would destroy any festival or big arena. If you’re looking for more Showtek, they mixed this months Musical Freedom Radio.

Musical Freedom started a regular podcast last month featuring a mix from a different artist on the label each go around. Tiesto kicked things off himself with a bang last time around, and for October, Showtek takes a harder approach. Included in the mix is the new track “Cannonball” that Tiesto dropped at Electric Zoo in addition to favorites like “Pursuit of Happiness,” “Bonfire,” and “How We Do.” No word on which MF artist will be spinning next month but with such a great list of talent, we doubt we’ll be disappointed.

While most aftermovies from festivals get us incredibly pumped up and immediately ready to party, Hardwell is trying a different approach. In his Electric Zoo aftermovie, Hardwell used an acoustic cover of “Call Me a Spaceman” by Colin McLoughlin to tell the story of why Robbert Van de Corput loves partying in New York. The acoustic version is available on iTunes if you like something a little lighter. If Hardwell is more your style, he’ll be back in NY on November 23rd at Pacha and make sure to checkout our coverage of his set a EZoo 2012.
After previewing the original mix of “Love is all I Got” just over a week ago, Feed Me is back with his own personal remix of the track. The drum and bass native has swapped out the original uplifting synths and guitar sounds for grungy mechanical beats and wobbles. This is more of the Feed Me that we have come to love, but also shows his incredible versatility as a producer. If you live in the UK you can pre-order the EP on iTunes — which includes the original, this remix, and three others due for release on November 18th.
Recently ranked 28th on the DJ Mag top 100, Arty is back again this week with his radio show Together We Are. This week Arty changes things up by picking “Another Chance” by Roger Sanchez as an an “old but gold” and Icona Pop’s “I Love It (Style Of Eye Remix)” as the best track. It’s nice to see Arty changing things up as always. Download the episode below and view the tracklist after the break.
