Junior Sanchez launches Brobot via Steve Angello’s Size Records

Dance music revolutionary Junior Sanchez steps back into the limelight with his new imprint, Brobot. The project comes via Steve Angello‘s Size Records, and together the two producers hope to continue extending their brand of electronic music. Not offended by the categorization of the “EDM” acronym, Sanchez believes dance music needs a return to basics,  re-aligning itself with art and experimentation once again.

“Brobot Records is a purely art driven project, where if I love it, I’ll release it. I want to empower and showcase fresh new talent and release new and more experimental music from my peers, while also providing a home to release my own material.”

Influenced by Steve Angello himself, Sanchez revealed in his mini-documentary Junior Sanchez – The Past, The Present & The Future that Angello told him that his Size Records imprint was inspired by Cube, Sanchez’s former record label — making the partnership an easy decision. To celebrate the momentous occasion  Junior is giving away “Acid Fire” as a free Facebook download, marking the first Brobot release via Size Records.

Laidback Luke ft. Majestic – Pogo (Chuckie ‘Aruba’ Remix)

6975068

Dance music veteran Laidback Luke officially released “Pogo” last month, giving fans an electro house beat with an infectious vocal hook from MC Majestic. A fitting name for the bouncy beat, “Pogo” is a combination of Laidback Luke’s dirty Dutch roots and Majestic’s grime-style vocals creating a hard-hitting production with mass appeal. Fellow Dutch house champion Chuckie gives the track an entirely new feel, allowing Majestic’s lyrics to take center stage. Incorporating a Latin-flavored drum line with cascading synths, Chuckie forms a remake ready for the main stage. The remix package also includes works from Congorock, Deorro and H.P Vince.

Cazzette-Ultra-Music-Festival-3

Rising pop starlet Nikki Williams continues to gain power with help from her most recent song “Glowing.” The 24-year-old singer gives listeners a sprawling vocal hook with an electro-pop beat, but it is the remix EP that is gaining her serious recognition. Fedde Le Grand revealed his rendition of “Glowing” last week, diving straight in with a pulsing production, and now  swedish duo Cazzette lend their production skills on the EP, keeping the poppy spirit of the original. Their progressive house rework bounces into a synth-driven beat, giving the song even more force than before and creating another stand-out remix for the South African singer. First heard on Avicii’s Le7els podcast, Cazzette’s take on “Glowing” is set to be released on March 5th.
