Jeremih – Make Up To Break Up (Alvaro remix)

Alvaro is on his way to joining the likes of Laidback Luke and Chuckie at the top of the Dirty Dutch music scene. This is an excellent remix of Jeremih’s Make Up To Break Up. Alvaro keeps the soulfulness from the original and makes you want to dance.

Axwell – I Found You (Danyo Wallem Remix 2010)

Throwback Thursday: Danyo Wallem produced a funky remix to a very classic Axwell song. The original needs to be in your collection also if you don’t already have it.

The Night Is Young (Jack Holiday & Mike Candys remix)

This is a relatively large track to post on a Sunday, but Dancing Astronaut is a party all week long. The original song is from Switzerland’s Kev and Lex. Roger Federer approves.

Sir James – Special (Bingo Players remix)

Since anything from the Netherlands is good music these days, we decided we’d post this awesome Bingo Players remix. I don’t know what the deal is with those Dutch but they’re definitely becoming one of the most productive nations in house music.

While we’re on the topic of Dutch producers, I might as well let out another track from Afrojack’s rapidly increasing music supply. This one might be a little scandalous for house music fans… he produced a single for Pitbull. I’m a little behind on the mainstream scene, but if this isn’t already a hit, it will be. Maldito means “damned” in Spanish.

Jay Sean – Down (Silky Bastard remix)

I love when a song that was previously annnnnoyyying gets Dancing Astronautified by a capable DJ. These are the songs that get all the girlies to sing along while getting the electro house enthusiasts into the groove at the same time.

City Life – Never Too Late (Nick Galea remix)

This song starts out as a cool, beach house beat, but then Nick Galea decides to make it dance floor worthy with his remix. Pleasantly surprising.

Afrojack & Bobby Burns – Ghettoblaster!!!

I was hooked on this song as soon as I saw Afrojack playing it from his studio computer and I checked the internet for a full HQ version almost everyday afterwards. Ghettoblaster is my favorite favorite song of 2010 so far. It has a hypnotizing melody, like all of the uber classic house hits do, but it also has the signature Afrojack funkyness that adds an extra element of greatness. Afrojack is truly becoming one of the best beat makers in the business. Enjoy it and play it on your subwoofer for ultimate arousal!

This video of Afrojack in the studio is how I discovered the song…

Memories (David Guetta’s F*ck Me I’m Famous remix)

It came as a very pleasant surprise when I ran into this track today. I had no idea this was coming but thank you David Guetta because you don’t hold back on remixes of your own songs. This is a big week of releases at Dancing Astronaut but, believe it or not, this song isn’t my favorite. Wait until Friday for that…

Madonna – Revolver (David Guetta One Love remix)

This track was originally a poppy tune that featured Lil Wayne, but then David Guetta added his edit. This version is the extended club mix which was produced with Afrojack and features two David Guetta drops (there are no drops on Guetta’s radio edit). As usual with most Guetta remixes, you’ll want to kill yourself every time you listen to the original version of the song (e.g. Black Eyed Peas – I Gotta Feeling (David Guetta remix).

Jonas Steur – Hypnotized (Simon Steur remix)

Hypnotized is a nice house track from Belgium. The drum rhythm is delightfully funky and the choruses are deliciously melodic.
