Avicii just posted a preview for the vocal version of Penguin on his Soundcloud. The track is due to be released soon by Ministry of Sound. Is it objective to say that it’s impossible to dislike Avicii’s music? Surely that is an opinion held by most EDM fans but can anyone really argue that he isn’t one of the best producers around today?
Preview: Avicii – Fade Into Darkness (Vocal Mix)
Supposedly Avicii premiered the track at the Summerburst Festival in Stockholm on June 4th. Thanks to Beat My Day for the video.
We can’t wait for this song to release but we may be even more excited for Silhouettes.
When these two groups get together, it’s some of our favorite stuff to come from Russia since vodka. Feedback, Thank you, Rhea, and Smolengrad are just a few examples. We think that “I Wanna Be Your Dog” may be one their biggest tunes yet. The song is very high energy, in some ways similar to Congorock’s One remix. It’s no wonder why the Swedish House Mafia always play some of their tunes in their sets. Look for the release on August 8th.
On June 20, remixes by Swanky Tunes, Keon Groeneneveld, and Amo & Navas (in that order on the Soundcloud player) will be released. Are DJs more productive during the summer time? It seems like Swanky Tunes are involved in a new remix every day!
The duo that brought us the smash hit, Where You Are with Harry Romero, just released a highly anticipated track that is sure to be an anthem at clubs and festivals this summer. The vocal hook is very catchy and the drop is powerful and energetic. It’s not often you’ll find both of those elements at such a top notch level in one track. Bravo to Junior Sanchez and Alexander Technique. This will be in heavy rotation inside the Dancing Astronaut Turntable room.

Italian DJ, Riva Starr, just released a Latin American themed EP with three fresh and ethnic tracks: Much Gusto, Vuoi Fumar?, and La Comparsa. This is a good EP for those of you looking to mix up your sets with a little something different.
The Bingo Players have had quite a fantastic 2011 so far. Cry (Just a Little) has been very successful on the Beatport charts and as this video displays, it’s a perfect song for the summer. Cry (Just a Little) has a classic vocal house style and the music video stays with the classic house theme – good looking women dancing and having fun in the sun. We love the Bingo Players cameo at 0:40!
The Olav Basoski remix was released yesterday. Make sure to get your hands on that if you want a fresh disco house version of the Bingo Players’ tune.

Afrojack remixed a new pop remake of Wamdue Project’s 1997 classic, King Of My Castle. Even though Afrojack is one of the biggest names in EDM right now, he’s still working just as hard as he was during his rise. Can someone tell him to publish studio home movies again? That was how he used to build hype for new tracks before most people knew who he was. Who remembers this one?
