Yesssssss, we’ve been waiting for this track to come out for a while. We haven’t heard much from Cold Blank since their Cal State Anthem Remix. The album cover really explains all you need to know. It’s just a simple story about two guys and their ancient psychic tandem war elephant. But if you really need an introduction, this is one of the weirdest songs you will hear this year with a filthy disgusting electro drop at the 1:43 mark. This could easily be an Afrojack or Bart B More drop, but Cold Blank rock this track beautifully.

Yes, you’ve heard this track before. The Freemasons have been around the house music scene for a while now, but this classic tune of theirs gets a smooth funky update from Carl Crème and Reza’s remix on Hed Kandi’s newly released Classics: Volume II.

This is why you’ve just gotta love house music. The Space Mix of Manuel de la Mare’s Iberian tasteful club banger samples the Gipsy Kings’ classic “Bamboleo” (which I’m sure you’ve heard since age 5) and turns it into a techy dance track that you’ll hear without fail all through Ibiza when clubs like Space reopen next summer. His other track, Ameno, is a different beast entirely – it sounds like a progressive version of a chanting soccer stadium. He teams up with Luigi Rocca and Roberto Molinaro to pull off what they refer to as “a super clubby theme with a theme that will definitely make the complete crown turn up their hands right before crashing the club pillars.”

Get down to this trancey masterpiece that’ll have you jumping up and down in any crowd. German native and local tech house legend Patric La Funk has made a name for himself with his popular remixes of Axwell, Steve Angello, Moguai and Dave Spoon tracks. This progressive banger is a good indication of what he can do on his own, though. Expect to see this blasted in big rooms and at festivals very very soon.

The Duck Sauce video for their single of the year, Big Bad Wolf (released last week), dropped today. And it features more pubic hair than a waxing salon. The single is markedly different from their upbeat hit of last year, Barbra Streisand, and you can tell from the video alone. Actually, you can tell a lot of things about the dynamic DJing duo from this video. If you’ve ever wanted to see gratuitous full frontal male nudity unsettlingly superimposed over a club house track, this is probably your best bet. Check out the video after the break!
I don’t wear panties, but if I did, they would have dropped the same time this track did. When the original Better Wipe That Up debuted back at the end of June, it made its way into the constant repeat cycle on the playlists of any dub-house lovers. This track embodies that signature Lazy Rich sound of great melodic synth builds that get suddenly torn up by dirty dirty dubby chainsaw-style drops (yes, this isn’t the first time we’ve compared his sound to a chainsaw.) It’s impossible to listen to Lazy Rich track on anything less than full bass and volume, and when you do, it’ll probably short-circuit your speakers. Alex Sayz came out today with Pulse: 128-130, his new album packed through with club-ready house hits, on his own TopDJ Records. As he wrote on his website, “I’ve been waiting so long for this day. The day has come and I have to say I’m really proud. Got so many nice messages from people in the biz that I look up to. I hope you’ll enjoy it too. Whenever I get time I will write the stories behind the tracks.” The album is packed with talent, featuring Hype Jones, Starkillers, Nadia Ali, and Mario Vasquez.
The marquee track is undoubtedly Falling, featuring the sexy, sexy vocals of Christina Skaar. It’s been a big year for Alex Sayz, who also put out an extended mix of Nadia Ali’s Fine Print and United As One featuring Sibel. Sure Avicii sat atop a giant kaleidoscopeic cube at Alice’s House, but our minds are still flashing with neon glowing bunnies, electric pandas, bikini-clad girls, and lots and lots of sunglasses. But Avicii could have been sitting on top of the world for all he cared. The energy levels were off the charts as he tore through his set Friday night at Nocturnal Wonderland in San Bernadino, California. Read on to hear (and see) how it went down.

Norman Doray finally dropped this banger of a single this week as a small teaser of his highly anticipated “Strictly Ibiza to Amsterdam” album, set to release on October 10th. Kalifornia, featured on the Day disc, has a huge disco club house feel to it, while David Tort’s remix, featured on the Night side, has a darker, edgier feel to it.
