Afrojack & Shermanology – Can’t Stop Me (Official Preview)

Dancing Astronaut believes that this is Afrojack’s biggest tune since “Take Over Control.” Not only does “Can’t Stop Me” have that great drop along with some outstanding vocals from Shermanology’s lead singer, but it has enough ‘pop’ to it that it will be mainstream in no time. This is also the track that cements Shermanology as the next up and coming trio in the house world (we know they had a great run alongside Tim Berg with “Blessed,” but this is bigger). Take a peek at the preview and get excited for the release.

Muse – Starlight (Abel Ramos & Jose De Mara Club Mix)

abel ramos

Muse came out with “Starlight” in 2006 and it charted high finishing at number 13 on the UK singles chart. Abel Ramos and Jose De Mara apply their subtle tech influences to make this groovy remix. This is one of those tracks that is just perfect for kick starting your night off in the correct fashion. The easily identifiable lyrics only make the simple yet danceable bassline even better. If you want some serious energy – fast forward to approximately 3:47. Many people may not have discovered this track, but it is a surefire gem.

First Listen: Porcelain Black- Naughty Naughty (R3hab’s Pacha NYC 6AM Remix)

pbcover

With a title most likely inspired by R3hab’s twilight performance at Pacha New York, R3hab succeeds in continuing his odyssey of chainsaw madness. “Naughty, Naughty” has a sinister feel to it due to the deep bassline and the thick drop. Dancing Astronaut loves when the vocals are separated from the bassline and then the piano chords kick right back in. After hearing this, we can’t wait to see him live at XS in Las Vegas this upcoming Friday. We have a strong feeling that he is going to kick some serious ass.

Afrojack & R3hab – Prutataaa (Dada Life, Darth & Vader, Angger Dimas Remixes) [Previews]

r3hab 1

One of the most notable tracks of 2011 gets a slew of remixes done by notable artists. The entire remix package is coming out on January 16th (less than a week!) and it features Dada Life, Darth & Vader, and the crazy Indonesian – Angger Dimas. Each preview is featured below with details on why you should be excited.

Afrojack & R3hab – Prutataaa (Dada Life Remix)

Stephan and Olle are just flat out fun. This remix of “Prutataaa” is thick and heavy in bass. The trademark “woo” is still the emphasis and the chords are still evident throughout. This sounds very similar to the original mix with just a little more weight behind it – this might make your heart thump when this is dropped.

Quintino – The One And Only (Original Mix)

quintino

With all the progressive and dubstep going on nowadays we’ve somewhat forgotten about Dutch house music. Quintino brings back a refined version of the Dutch sound in his latest tune called “The One And Only.” He creatively uses the flute in segments of the track, which makes the whole experience a little more unique. Quintino is best known for being part of Afrojack’s team and creating “Selecta” with him. This youngster will be poised to make a huge name for himself with some original productions in 2012 and a few more gigs in Vegas.

Inpetto – No More Serious Faces (Original Mix)

inpetto

The Kaskade fans among you will know that Inpetto created a track with the DJ called “How Long.” This progressive duo has been creating elegant tunes for quite some time, but it seems as if they are getting some serious attention after their appearance on Fire & Ice. Cr2 Records has picked up their latest single called “No More Serious Faces” and has been pushing it hard. Needless to say, the uplifting chords will run chills down your spine when you hear it live. Make sure to hear Inpetto’s remix of JES’ “Awaken” – it’s another big track that deserved more exposure than it got.

Markus Binapfl – Wild Side (Original Mix)

markus binapfl

Markus Binapfl lives up to his nickname BIG WORLD with his latest creation “Wild Side.” His last moderately big release (“SAGA”) came out right before Miami Music week last year and did well at the box office. Markus is best known for his work alongside Erick Morillo – you may remember his track “Alive” which features vocals from the lovely Fiora Cutler. “Wild Side” has a bassline that eerily reminds us of Thomas Gold’s remix of Lady GaGa’s “Judas.” Keep on the look out for what Binapfl has in store for us in 2012!

Laidback Luke – Do The Robot (Original Mix)

laidback luke sirius 1

After reaching 200,000 followers on Twitter (@LaidbackLuke), Laidback Luke released a new track for us to download called “Do The Robot.” The name of the song says it all – it is very robotic in nature. It’s almost as if Laidback Luke took a bunch of machines and made them grind on each other in some random club. Luke’s SoundCloud has been rather busy these days – he released the full version of “Dancin” yesterday and soon after (approximately 10 hours) gave us “Do The Robot.” If you need some craziness in your life – do yourself a favor and click play. If you aren’t crazy, but can appreciate good music – do yourself a favor and click play.

Aaron Smith ft. Luvli – Dancing (Laidback Luke Remix)

laidback luke dancing astronaut ruby skye blauapella

Aaron Smith’s “Dancin” was one of the best summer tracks of 2005. For those of you that remember “Dancin” you are either old, have a good memory, or remember the acapella in a recent live set (or all of the above). Laidback Luke has an uncanny ability of reviving older tunes and creating them into energetic masterpieces. The trumpet is used very well during the build up and sounds similar to his bootleg of Rihanna and Kanye’s “All Of The Lights.” Needless to say, we are big fans of this track and we can’t wait to get our paws on this once it is released on Beatport. Till then the full version on SoundCloud will have to do.
