Pedro Henriques ft. Giuseppe Viola – Spread The Love (Digital Lab Remix)

pedro henriques

The duo that created “Tonight” is back at it again with the release of “Spread The Love.” This time around Digital Lab delivers the remix rather than being featured on the original. With the help of Palermo’s Giuseppe Viola vocals, we have a trio that is unbelievably talented. Digital Lab is known for his use of uplifting synths and boasts an array of tracks that are suitable for any club setting. “Spread The Love” is centered around a few powerful guitar riffs that really set the tone for the rest of the track. We feel as though Digital Lab is on a mission to make his mark in 2012, check out his recently released remix of Ming’s “Go All Night” for more proof.

BONUS: Pedro Henriques ft. Giuseppe Viola – Spread The Love (Original Remix)

While the original mix doesn’t feature the kicking synths that the Digital Lab remix offers, it is still an excellent tune. Think of it like having a laid back version and a high energy remix. The vocals seem to have a more profound effect in the original mix so people who love Giuseppe’s voice may be partial to the original.

Zenbi – Double Trouble (Stefano Noferini Remix)

Stefano Noferini 3

Stefano Noferini’s style can be best described by one word — ‘groovy.’ His productions are usually meant for easy listening and they are exactly what you expect. If you compare and contrast his previous work (think: “Airbuzz” remix) with “Double Trouble” the main difference is with the tempo of the tune. It is safe to say that Stefano has truly mastered the art of tech house and will continue to solidify his place among the best in that genre. If you ever need soothing music — type in “Noferini” into the Beatport search function and start buying everything that pops up.

Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso – Calling “Lose My Mind” (Preview)

Ingrosso + Alesso @ Pacha - 07

The original mix of “Calling” was one of the biggest tracks of 2011, in fact, we had it ranked 11. During Electric Zoo, we were lucky enough to sit down with Alesso and were respectfully shut down when we asked about the details surrounding the highly anticipated vocal mix. Sebastian Ingrosso has (finally) decided to tease us with an extremely short snippet of what we can expect from the “Lose My Mind.” We’ll keep you updated on the official preview and the release date, but this will have to suffice for now.

Paul Thomas – Buzz Killington (Funkagenda Remix)

funkagenda.

Paul Thomas has been responsible for numerous tech house gems. His most notable production of 2011 was his remix of Gareth Emery’s “Sanctuary.”  This time around his latest single “Buzz Killington” gets a sweet rendition from one of the faces of tech house, Funkagenda. What is interesting is that this track features a slight wobble that is accompanied by percussions. Tech producers usually stray far away from those types of sounds, however, it seems as if Funkagenda wants to be a little more adventurous. On a side note, be sure to follow Funkagenda (@funkagenda) on Twitter if you want some good laughs.

Apster – Goldcoast (Original Mix)

Apster-DJ-photo

Recently, Apster has been involved in collaborations alongside Nicky Romero (“Bootcamp“) and Quintino (“Music Oh“). If you are a fan of hard rock guitar riffs, then his newest single “Goldcoast” — just released on Afrojack’s Wall Recordings – will likely find itself on your iTunes repeat for quite some time. The drop here is extremely bass heavy and reminiscent of something that the Bassjackers would stamp their name on. “Goldcoast” is one of those tunes that will rattle your headphones while they are in your ears — this track is loaded with some serious Dutch power!

Firebeatz – Where’s Your Head At (Original Mix)

firebeatz

The Firebeatz take on the daunting task of remaking the Basement Jaxx “Where’s Your Head At.” All of us at DA, think they did a commendable job of making a fist pumping remix. Not only are the lyrics infused with the bassline very well, they also bring the fire right from the get go. The drop is incredibly deep sounding, but doesn’t feature any prominent percussions like most electro based tracks that exhibit this amount of power. We can vouch for the variety that the Firebeatz have because their last few releases have been very different. Compare and contrast “Funky Shit” with “Where’s Your Head At” and you will instantly realize what we are talking about.

Chuckie – Together (Original Club Mix)

DSC_0064

Today, Chuckie officially released his newest track “Together.” This catchy tune features pianos, wobbles, and a dash of disco. The last Mr. Dirty Dutch himself incorporated a little dubstep into a track was on his remix of Mohombi’s “Bumpy Ride,” a recording we absolutely loved here at DA. Much like his live sets, Chuckie seamlessly transitions between hard style and progressive. The pianos flow flawlessly into a a more electro-sounding dubby drop. “Together” is very simple in structure, so expect a few mashups to follow this release. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to check out Chuckie’s previous two releases, “Who Is Ready To Jump?” and “What Happens In Vegas” if you need a little adrenaline rush this morning.

Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl ft. Georgi Kay – In My Mind (Axwell Mix)

Axwell Warfield 3

Ivan Gough (half of TV Rock) teams up with Aussie up and comers Feenixpawl to create “In My Mind.” Much like with the release of “Resurrection,” Axwell provides us his edit for purchase on his Axtone Records. The original mix will be available  later, although no exact date has been given. “In My Mind” follows the same structure as “Walking Alone,” blending sensitive lyrics with a powerful yet not overwhelming drop. Look for this to take over in all of SHM’s live sets in the near future. Is this the biggest release of the year or does “Can’t Stop Me” still reign King?

Adrian Lux ft. Lune – Fire (Mikael Weermets “Fire In The Hole” Remix) [Preview]

mikael weermets

Your expectations should have risen immediately after seeing the producers that are involved with the making of this track. Adrian Lux and Lune (Think: Tiesto’s remix of “Girls With Bangs“) bring out the sensitive side of house music, however, Mikael Weermets complements the sensitivity with sheer progressive power. Initially, when listening to this teaser you will notice that “Fire” is more trance influenced than most of the stuff that Adrian Lux and Mikael Weermets get their hands into. The structure of the tune starts to make sense at 1:30 when Mikael turns up the noise about 12 decibels higher than the rest of the track. This is set to release on Ultra Records sometime in February. Stay tuned for the entire release!
