Richard Grey – Lady (Original Mix)

richard grey

Modjo’s “Lady” (sometimes known as “Hear Me Tonight”) is one of the best lounge house tunes that has ever been created. Richard Grey takes on the daunting task of making a more modern version of this classic. While listening to this you will recognize the sweeping sounds that have been used by Arty and Swanky Tunes. There is also a distinct tech house element to Richard Grey’s version that keeps your head bobbing for days.

BONUS: Richard Grey – Lady (DJ Falk Remix)

From the get go this is undeniably heavier than the original mix. We believe that DJ Falk’s remix would actually do better in a club, because it brings out the best in the vocals and chops them up in the correct fashion towards the end of the track. Drop this in your next live set to garner a great crowd reaction. No matter which version you like/drop it’s nice to see a classic come back to the main stage.

Flo-Rida – Good Feeling (Bingo Players Remix)

bingo players ruby skye san francisco

Both the Disco Fries and Hook N Sling have given us their great renditions of Flo-Rida’s “Good Feeling.” The Bingo Players’ version is a great middle ground – it isn’t as progressive as Hook N Sling’s yet it doesn’t have as deep of a drop as the Disco Fries. The rolling bassline complements the high energy well – we believe that an instrumental mix is in order, because it is so well engineered. This unstoppable Dutch duo has a few more tunes up their sleeves, most notably their massive release “Mode” coming to a sound system near you soon.

Armin Van Buuren ft. Adam Young – Youtopia (Michael Woods Remix)

michael woods

Armin Van Buuren teams up with the lead singer from Owl City (you may remember “Fireflies“), Adam Young, to create “Youtopia.” Michael Woods then adds some cool piano riffs in the process while creating an uplifting drop. This is vastly different from his previous productions like “VMS” and “How R U Feeling Right Now,” due to the fact that it is more ‘pop’ oriented. Michael has another big track set to release on Friday called “Last Day On Earth,” also keep your eye out for his remix of Lady GaGa’s “Black Jesus Amen Fashion.”

Duck Sauce – Big Bad Wolf (Dada Life Remix)

Let’s put our hands together for Duck Sauce for creating a certain aura about this song. Initially, when “Big Bad Wolf” was dropped at Coachella we didn’t know what to think. Yes, it was big live, but it lacked that certain oomph when played on your headphones. A few months later, the stellar music video (located above) was dropped and people began to love it. Funny how a few great marketing strategies can change the outlook on a track right? Anyhow, Dada Life’s remix incorporates that great sausage fattening sound. This one was listenable on your headphones from the get go.

David Guetta ft. Sia – Titanium (Cazzette’s Ant Seeking Hamster Mix)

A few hours after we posted the remix package of “Titanium” (which featured Alesso, Gregori Klosman, Arno Cost, and Nicky Romero), Cazzette released their rendition on Beatport. This tune is what we like to refer to as ‘rough.’ If you have gentle ears stick with the Arno Cost remix, but if you are into stuff that is likely to knock you on your ass, give Cazzette’s a try. The fast-paced bleeps remind us of Skrillex’s remix of “Love In Motion,” and that moombahton flavor adds just the right touch to an already big tune.

Avicii – Levels (Official Music Video)

This is not your normal music video, it is a compilation of everyone’s interpretations of Avicii’s biggest tune – “Levels.” The interesting thing to take away from this, is the number of people that were inspired to create their own ‘version’ of this moving track. From instrumental piano renditions to douchebags resolving fights, it is safe to say that there is a place for “Levels” inside of everyone’s hearts. Watching both the promo video and the music video should throw chills down your spine, needless to say, it’s a good time to be a diehard fan of house music.

Kelly Rowland – Down For Whatever (Chuckie Remix)

DJ_Chuckie~2

Kelly Rowland’s “Down For Whatever” gets a shot of adrenaline courtesy of the King of Dirty Dutch – Chuckie. Fresh off the release of “Who Is Ready To Jump,” Chuckie has been classified as one of the pioneers of new age club music. His live sets regularly consist of a nice blend of hip hop and pop bootlegs along with his normal Dutch oriented tunes. More recently, Chuckie has remixed Sarvi’s “Amore” which gives off the same sort of vibe as “Down For Whatever.” This one should do well at the box office due to its release on Motown Records.

Kyau & Albert – Are You Fine? (Arty Remix)

Trance sensation Arty remixes Kyau and Albert’s “Are You Fine?” and does this track justice. Arty has been responsible for a quite a few big tunes this year – “Kate,” “Around The World,” and “Rebound” have all been fabulous. The biggest difference from this remix and the original is the BPM, Arty reduces it significantly to make a slower more emotional remix. This is the type of stuff that is responsible for excessive ‘zoning out.’ It is safe to say that Arty is a master of applying the sweeping sensations into his bassline, we feel that it is his most noticeable feature in every single one of his tunes.

Guy J & Henry Saiz – Meridian (Pryda Remix)

eric prydz

“Cool” is the word best used to describe Eric Prydz. His last few tunes have blended the most unique of sounds and brought them together into a few unbelievable tracks. “2night” and his remix of “Circles” bring out the best in what Eric has to offer and sets the standard for what deep progressive music should be. “Meridian” is a little less spiritual and more of an array of subtle sensations. This is a little Deadmau5-y in the fact that it may not be a club stomper, but it definitely gets your mind jogging (think: “HR 8938 Cephei“). We expect Eric to be in the game for quite some time, he productions never get old.
