Surrender Vegas hosts Calvin Harris’ Birthday Party, gives away his set for free

It may have been Calvin Harris’ birthday party to celebrate at Surrender Vegas Saturday night, but the club has just released the entire set as part of its Surrender Podcast series. We were lucky enough to be there on the ground to see the celebration live, and the vibe in the club was completely insane. The line snaked almost all the way out of the hotel, and the entire front part of the club had to be barricaded off because there were so many wild, screaming fans.

We won’t spoil the entire hour and forty minute mix, but we can tell you there was an awesome bootleg of “Kick Out The Epic Motherfucker” with Fatboy Slim’s “Praise You,” and the always enjoyable R3hab remix of “Bounce.” Click the link below to get your listen on, and don’t forget to subscribe and check out past episodes. Dancing Astronaut Radio Episode 33 (Mixed by Coucheron)

Sebastian ”Coucheron“ is about to put Asker, Norway on the map in a big way. Now 17 years old, Coucheron started playing drums, guitar, and piano at the early age of 10, forming his first rock band in the process. Although he began tinkering with production 3 years ago, he was never a fan of EDM until 2010, at which point he began DJ’ing.

In his words, “I figured I had to start at some point”. Influenced by modern day staples such as Deadmau5, Wolfgang Gartner, and Daft Punk.

But it was German duo Spencer & Hill who really first got him into electronic music, and he is still very inspired by their sound to this day. This is quite evident in Coucheron’s debut self-titled EP on Big Beat Records featuring original tracks “Outrageous” and “Speed Me Up”. With the original version already at almost a half million YouTube views, “Outrageous” has become a bit of a phenomenon. This new version has big melodic synths leading to a squelchy break of epic proportions. Second track on the release “Speed Me Up” is another electro monster with infectious claps and a huge bassline throughout.

Coucheron’s debut self-titled EP is being released on Beatport on December 27th by Big Beat / Atlantic Records. This amazing, young music prodigy is on a major rise in the EDM. Get his EP and keep your eyes peeled for more Coucheron on his Soundcloud coming soon!

This episode of Dancing Astronaut Radio is mixed by Canadian DJs Dzeko&Torres. The young duo is quickly on the rise, having already gathered support from artists like Chuckie, Mark Mendes, Jus Jack and many more. Residing out of Toronto, the two look set for international prominence as they aim to leave their mark for years to come.

The two started their career in 2009 and their accolades have led to numerous dj gigs in and around Ontario, making them a home town favourite with promoters and fans. Their first Beatport release came via Mark Mendes’ Starter Records, and became a staple in local clubs and radio shows. The pair headed straight back to the studio to work their magic, following soon after with original releases on Dirty Dutch and CR2 records, and remixes for Jus Jack on Moda records.

The duo is currently in the works of several original releases as well as many collaborations with respected artists. Along with their current work, Dzeko&Torres have upcoming releases on CR2, Joia Records, and Dim Mak. Having found a sound that works for them, these two youngsters look prepared and ready to become a staple in the electronic music world.
