Hopefully our guide to Halloween weekend persuaded you to embark upon a journey to the desert of joy – Las Vegas. This is a video recap of the entire weekend which featured Avicii on Friday, Axwell on Saturday, Deadmau5 on Sunday, and the combination of Afrojack and Alesso on Halloween night. Needless to say, XS continues to crush it night in and night out. Only the biggest and brightest stars can gain residencies to Encore’s most lavish club, nowadays even headlining on an ‘off’ weekend is a huge deal. To top off a huge month for the nightclub – Deadmau5 recently announced his residency to the world in the most hilarious way possible. In the past Marquee has provided stiff competition to XS for the title of Best Club In Vegas, is it safe to say that XS currently holds the title belt?

When Skrillex’s record label OWSLA announced that it would be releasing Zedd’s newest track titled, “Shave It,” we were both excited, and a bit perplexed. What the hell was he wanting us to shave? Eventually we gave up trying to figure it out and just enjoyed the German electro producer’s latest hard-hitting, yet, melodic production. Today, just over three weeks since the song hit Beatport, Zedd has released a video to accompany his track and we find ourselves saying, “Huh?” yet again. Watch it for yourself, and see if you don’t have a similar reaction.
The full video for Dada Life’s “Happy Violence” is out, and focuses on a mythical office that begins celebrating when “Dada Life Inc” stock goes through the roof. This consists of coffee pots being poured on heads and shirts being ripped off — though none belonging to females, natch. The video accompanies the release of the vocal mix, as well as a slew of remixes to it — including from Kaskade and Swanky Tunes. The full release is available on Beatport now, but let us know in the comments which one you’re digging the most.
PS: Kaskade played it both nights at Roseland Ballroom.

Listening to the some of livesets from ADE has us near tears that we missed it, but Fedde Le Grand’s official aftermovie from Escape Amsterdam makes it seem like true paradise. If you haven’t downloaded the sets for yourself yet, make sure to do so, and you can feel free to watch this video on repeat until they’re finished downloading or read our take from his appearance at Sensation Barcelona. We won’t judge.
PS: Deniz Koyu posted a video to his Facebook from the same event. This would be a great opportunity for us to remind you that this is a guy to keep a very close eye on.
The Meowington Hax tour has kept Deadmau5 quite busy for the past few months — what with his massive outdoor showing in Philadelphia and record-breaking run at Roseland Ballroom — but you can’t talk about his latest American domination feat without talking about the stunning visuals that go along with his iconic beats. As we explained when the Professional Griefers was first debuted at Lollapalooza in Chicago, the team behind the setup visual display is Possible Productions, who combined specially shot footage, 3D computer-generated imagery, and other graphic art to deliver a fully immersive experience unlike anything else out there. The three minute video above does a nice job combining real-life footage with some of the behind-the-scenes stuff you don’t normally get to see, but don’t forget to check out our own photos of the labyrinth of lights and LEDs for more.
Update: Possible Productions designed the actual visuals, while construction of the lights and overall production was handled by Bionic League. Clarified above.
The Duck Sauce video for their single of the year, Big Bad Wolf (released last week), dropped today. And it features more pubic hair than a waxing salon. The single is markedly different from their upbeat hit of last year, Barbra Streisand, and you can tell from the video alone. Actually, you can tell a lot of things about the dynamic DJing duo from this video. If you’ve ever wanted to see gratuitous full frontal male nudity unsettlingly superimposed over a club house track, this is probably your best bet. Check out the video after the break!
Here’s the first installment of our Tour Diary series in conjunction with Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike on their “Smash the USA” tour. This teaser video was shot at District 36 in New York City, and should give you a small taste of what it was like to be there. We’ll be bringing you more coverage from the tour in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more!
Full list of tour dates available below. (They’re at Mansion in Miami with Chris Lake tonight!)
We brought you a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Nervo’s “We’re All No One” video earlier in the week, but now the video is out so we’re back with more of the bubbly blondes for your enjoyment. The video boasts cameos from Afrojack and Steve Aoki, and has an distinct, chilled-out, old-school feel to it. Check it out above. There’s also a lyrics-only version of the video, and we’ve embedded that one after the break.
Rihanna’s video for Calvin Harris-produced track,”We Found Love,” hit the web yesterday. It’s definitely one of the more emotional videos we’ve seen recently, but it also manages to keep a happy uptempo vibe. We’re glad to see Calvin make an appearance in the video, though it’s in a typical low-key cameo DJing an outdoor mud-filled rave. Yeah, we’ll just stop there and you can watch for yourselves.
