Kaskade is coming out with a new album Fire & Ice that is set to hit iTunes on October 25th and November 8th everywhere else. We are exciting to see what tracks are on it, but after his recent releases of “Eyes” and “Turn It Down” we know the entire album is going to be a success. Stay tuned for an album review of all the tracks on Dancing Astronaut shortly!

Nocturnal Wonderland Recovery Party at Playhouse Hollywood with Alesso and Dirty South (video highlights)

Still craving more from the surreal weekend of Insomniac’s annual Nocturnal Wonderland Festival, hundreds of hungry fans flocked to the Playhouse in Hollywood for the official Recovery Party featuring none other than Alesso. One of the hottest new producers and DJs hailing from Sweden and signed onto Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune Records, Alesso had  The Playhouse jumping from the beginning.

Dirty South took the stage alongside Alesso for a good part of the night, after being introduced by his hit remix of “Coming Home.” Alesso lifted the whole sunset strip off the ground by dropping banger after banger. The Playhouse regular, Elmo,  showed up with his cold smoke gun, which he swayed back and forth over the hundreds of people raging on the dance floor. We’ve been talking up the Playhouse for sometime now. They throw out-of-this-world parties and have been booking some of the best talent in the industry. Check out all the photos on our Facebook and see the recap video above.

Steve Aoki previews “Earthquakey People” in new behind-the-scenes video

Steve Aoki has been pretty busy this summer headlining Identity Festival and all, but he has a new track set for release later this month with Rivers Cuomo called “Earthquakey People.” A new video posted to YouTube shows Aoki in his hotel room working on another version of the track, and generally jamming along as the track plays. We’ll bring you our official thoughts when the track drops for real, but for now get a sneak preview in this behind-the-scenes look above.

Wolfgang Gartner gives MTV a tour of his new studio, we look on with envy

We may have taken you “Behind the Booth” with DJ Chuckie, but we haven’t quite made it into the studio with any of our favorite producers. MTV, however, was lucky enough to get invited into Wolfgang Gartner’s new home studio in LA, and they’ve shared the goods with us all in a nice little video. The quick tour reveals that the electro-house maestro uses Ableton Live as his DAW of choice (that’s digital audio workstation for the non-producers out there) as well as a sweet selection of new kit and old. We love getting sneak peeks behind the scenes of how music gets made, so, you know, hit us up if you’re interested.

Avicii announces 3 day tour, teases us with a new preview

Avicii embarks on an incredible 3 day tour which will make pit stops in Ibiza, Cannes, and Amsterdam. Three of the biggest party cities in the entire world welcome arguably the hottest act in house music today. The video gives us insight into how incredible Avicii’s life is and also gives us a preview of what is cooking in the laboratories of the great Tim Berg. The 2nd song in the video is Avicii’s Tour Mix of Coldplay’s “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall”. This song joins the ‘waiting list’ of huge tracks that need to be released, the others are “Levels”, “Silhouettes”, “Derezzed” vocal mix, “Don’t Give Up On Us”, and now his Coldplay remix. Watch the video and let the goosebumps start rolling down your spine.

Tracklist:

1) Avicii – Nothing Without Adele (Avicii Rolling Bootleg)

2) Coldplay – Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall (Avicii “Tour” Mix)

3) Avicii – Fade Into Darkness (Original Mix)

Morgan Page at Ruby Skye, San Francisco (video recap)

We caught up with Morgan Page when he was in San Francisco for his In The Air tour a few weeks back. At the show we got a chance to chat about everything from the tour to his latest single which gave the tour its name — and just got remixed by Hardwell. “It’s always a nice short flight from LA, so I’m happy to be here. Ruby Skye is always an amazing place to play… it’s the only club I play here” he told us.

Later that night we were told that we would witness the first public playing of “In The Air” by Morgan for a live crowd. Of course, we got it all on video so click play above to see how it went down as Morgan Page rocked the dance floor at Ruby Skye.

Justice – AUDIO, VIDEO, DISCO (official music video)

Justice – AUDIO, VIDEO, DISCO. by justice

Vintage synthesizers, stacked speakers, and a glowing cross can only mean one thing — a brand new Justice music video, of course. “AUDIO, VIDEO, DISCO” is the follow up to “Civilization” and the second single off of the French duo’s sophomore album set to drop in October. The one shot style video, directed by (who else?) SO-ME, relives the tune’s creation in a series of studio sessions that showcases Gaspard and Xavier’s musical prowess.

Since we love DJ Chuckie and we know you do too, we’re following up our epic ”Behind The Booth” video from earlier this week with another video recap. This time we jetset to San Diego for his show at the Hard Rock Hotel’s Intervention Sundays, and the hot sun and Dirty Dutch beats proved to be the perfect combination for one awesome pool party. Watch the video above if you don’t believe us, but otherwise, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.

SHM gives another clue about upcoming announcement at Creamfields, confuses us more

Swedish House Mafia Clue

Swedish House Mafia played at Creamfields this past week, and of course they had to tease us about their upcoming announcement on September 23rd. The trio has just shared a video from the event, which has another clue thrown into the mix — a cryptic array of circles with letters and numbers you can see above. Now, we do see the 12 and 16 again (December 16, 161211.com) that we told you about before, but now there are more even more numbers thrown into the mix. We still don’t have a grip on what exactly SHM has planned, but our interest is certainly piqued by all the hidden messages and secret websites. Full video after the break.

PS: It’s definitely not Alesso joining SHM. We asked him at Electric Zoo.
