Discogs — a crowdsourced music database and online marketplace — has compiled a list of their top album releases of 2017 by genre. Featuring respective stalwarts from Rock, Electronic, Punk, Techno, Pop, Hardcore, Experimental, Indie Rock, Folk/World/Country and Hip-Hop, the list stretches from the Slowdive’s triumphant self titled return to shoe-gaze to the poignant urgency on Depeche Mode’s Spirit.
