This is a free download. You could initially go and download it the ‘hard way’ by liking the Skoda page (car company) and then clicking on the ‘Tiesto’ tab. Or you can cut the bullshit and download it straight from this post. Your choice. “What Can We Do (A Deeper Love)” was released in November and was a vastly underrated release (probably due to the fact that it was a free release as well and was not promoted by the world of EDM as much). Third Party continues their tear through the progressive world with a synth filled remix that makes “What Can We Do” a club anthem. Bold Prediction: Third Party’s set at White Wonderland is the early favorite for “Best Set Played On New Years Eve” and it will fully live up to it’s lofty expectations.

In sports, new comers are put under the magnifying glass. Their athleticism, mindset, and ability to handle pressure at high levels are tested day in and day out. When you get a rookie that is awesome, you know your organization is set for at least the next decade. In the world of EDM, people don’t necessarily scrutinize you at every opportunity, but in order to break down the doors and get some attention you need to be damn good. We’d like to introduce you to Michael Brun – a soon to be perennial all-star in the game of music. Check out his remix of “Dancing” just in case you are worried if this kid might be a one hit wonder.

So far this week, we have established our criteria for ranking the year’s top artists and have divulged our rankings from 50-31. Today, we’re back with another 10 of our picks for the top 50 Artists of 2011. This portion of DA’s Top 50 Artists is composed of some well-seasoned EDM veterans, as well as some kids who are barely legal; but, one thing that they all have in common is that they make music that we can’t get enough of. From progressive, to trance, to tech-house, to electro, the following artists are some of the best around, and if you look at what they have accomplished this year, it’s hard to argue with where they rank on our list.
So, without any further ado, we present artists 30-21.
Daddy’s Groove is best known for their work alongside superstar Axwell. The remixes for “Walk With Me” and “Nothing But Love” were amazing and were among the biggest tracks for 2010. This year has been a little more quiet, but their rendition of “Where Them Girls At” showed a darker side from Daddy’s Groove. There is no doubt that “Wild World” is their signature production for the year. The instrumental mix is gentle and playful and represents their standard soothing progressive tracks of years past – jump to 4:17 if you want a little more power. ‘Instrumental Mix’ implies that there is a vocal mix to follow – we can’t wait to hear it.

Just as we’re finishing up our year-endlists and looking ahead to the music of 2012, EDX hits us with the full release of his single “Give It Up For Love.” We were somewhat underwhelmed by the brief preview we heard of this track, but the full version is far more satisfying: it not only features the summery acoustic guitar and light John Williams vocals we’d heard previously, but a pretty excellent drop and uplifting progressive beat. For anyone heading to warm weather to ring in the new year, make sure to bring this song with you; it’s mean to be blasted on a beach somewhere.

Just released on Fool’s Gold Records, A-Trak and DJ Zinc bring us their newest work “Stingray.” A nice variation from the standard progressive tunes that are starting to dominate the EDM landscape, “Stingray” pushes the limits with its unique yet addicting sound. Somewhere between funky house and fidget, DJ Zinc dubs his new sound crack house. For those of you who love EDM but like hearing something a little different from straight progressive once in a while, this is for you.
While putting the finishing touches on their upcoming album, Jack Beats decided to give away some of their unreleased tunes for free. They have named this free music series Dubs For Clubs. The first installment of the series was released yesterday and premiered with their track “Make The People.” The track itself is vintage Jack Beats, employing their unique wobble sound with classic warped vocals & deep breaks. As we mentioned above, it is available as a free download and would make a great addition to any dubstep or fidget DJ’s library. Look forward to more unreleased tracks from the British duo in future Dubs For Clubs installments.
Michael Calfan has deservingly gained tremendous support over the past few months from some of the biggest EDM icons. It only makes sense that his name will quickly emerge onto the scene after Axwell remixed Calfan’s “Resurrection” into one of the most powerful piano tracks of the year. After Sidney Samson’s wild and energetic remix, the Paris based producer has caught the attention of David Guetta, who signed Calfan’s remix of “Turn Me On” to his own F*** Me I’m Famous label. Using simplistic yet extremely moving lead synths, Michael Calfan manages to utilize Nicky Minaj’s vocals in a much more compelling way than the original. So far, having Axwell and David Guetta on his roster is not too shabby for the upcoming producer. It will be exciting to see who gets a hold of Michael Calfan’s next noteworthy track. Click more to listen to Sebastien Drums, and Laidback Luke and David Guetta’s remixes!
