Hurry up and fast forward to approximately 4:05. What do you hear? Absolute bliss. “Keep It Coming” features a drop to die for and Nadia Ali’s vocals. Do you need anything more in life? Starkillers has quietly had an unbelievably successful year (“Unbelievable” and “Do You Love“), we don’t know how much longer Nick Terranova can keep flying under the radar until he breaks loose. Usually vocalists take a back seat to the producers themselves, however, Nadia Ali has found a way to change the trend and has made herself the premier vocalist in EDM – this is a fact, and you need to “Believe It.”

BONUS: Starkillers & Nadia Ali – Keep It Coming (Basto Remix)
Basto is the King of synths. The original mix is considerably harder, however, Basto’s remix is faster paced and more uplifting. The only take away from this rendition is that it focuses less on Nadia Ali’s vocals, to be honest we’re not sure if that is ever a formula for success. The build up on the remix is also slightly better and more club friendly – give this one a try and sound off in the comments.

Can anyone think of a better way to give back than to actually pay for the music we all enjoy AND help save the lives of children stricken with HIV/AIDS in Africa? We didn’t think so.
Today and today only, the fine people at Beatport will be donating 100% of their net proceeds towards the Keep a Child Alive foundation.
Keep A Child Alive is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing life-saving treatment, orphan care, nutrition, and support services to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. There are 15 million children orphaned in sub-saharan Africa alone, please join us in supporting their efforts to care and provide support for children and families affected by AIDS.
For those of you who have been enjoying your music for free — take this opportunity to give back, buy a couple of tracks and help those in need.
Sebastian ”Coucheron“ is about to put Asker, Norway on the map in a big way. Now 17 years old, Coucheron started playing drums, guitar, and piano at the early age of 10, forming his first rock band in the process. Although he began tinkering with production 3 years ago, he was never a fan of EDM until 2010, at which point he began DJ’ing.
In his words, “I figured I had to start at some point”. Influenced by modern day staples such as Deadmau5, Wolfgang Gartner, and Daft Punk.
But it was German duo Spencer & Hill who really first got him into electronic music, and he is still very inspired by their sound to this day. This is quite evident in Coucheron’s debut self-titled EP on Big Beat Records featuring original tracks “Outrageous” and “Speed Me Up”. With the original version already at almost a half million YouTube views, “Outrageous” has become a bit of a phenomenon. This new version has big melodic synths leading to a squelchy break of epic proportions. Second track on the release “Speed Me Up” is another electro monster with infectious claps and a huge bassline throughout.
Coucheron’s debut self-titled EP is being released on Beatport on December 27th by Big Beat / Atlantic Records. This amazing, young music prodigy is on a major rise in the EDM. Get his EP and keep your eyes peeled for more Coucheron on his Soundcloud coming soon!
Sometimes a dose of perspective is all you need. Our financial problems are superficial at best: $10 beers and cab fares, expensive festival tickets and neon t-shirts. The thought of being unable to afford a basic human need escapes us. Most, if not all of our fans enjoy 3 meals a day (even the college kids eating Ramen noodles) but for a vast majority of less fortunate American citizens, hunger has become a real problem.
By embodying the energy and love inherent in all dance music, Avicii, The Ash Alliance, and At Night have teamed up with Feeding America to bring us the “House for Hunger” tour.
Starting on January 5th, Avicii plans to flex his progressive house muscle by playing 25 shows in 25 days across the US — all in the name of feeding the starving and impoverished in America.
Read past the break for tour dates, tickets, and information from Avicii and Ash themselves.
Like their little gig at MSG, we found out about Swedish House Mafia’s afterparty a bit early — but not because of any inside information or by paying off doormen, but from one of the mafia men himself. Axwell first tweeted about the gig prematurely, revealing it’d take place at Roseland Ballroom, but it wasn’t until a few weeks ago that we got a proper announcement. After the enormous 20,000 person show at MSG, Roseland offered a more intimate venue for a select 3,500 people who were able to score tickets. SHM spun a set at the afterparty, but it was AN21 and Max Vangeli that really stole the show. Keep reading for some of the highlights.
From the creators of one of this years biggest tunes (“Sun & Moon“), Above & Beyond and Richard Bedford give us “Every Little Bit” a melodious trance tune that brings out the best emotions. While you may not get the big time drop that you have come to love from Above & Beyond, “Every Little Beat” does a great job of emitting Richard Bedford’s vocals over a quiet yet meaningful bassline. This reminds us of ATB’s “Twisted Love,” because both tracks have done incredibly well, but don’t necessarily fit the mold of ‘banger.’

Myon & Shane 54 give us a faster paced remix that feature a few more dance-able distortions. The chopped up vocals blend well with the drumline during the build up, the major difference between this rendition and the original mix is that there is a noticeable drop rather than a stable bassline. We feel as Myon & Shane 54 pick up the energy a bit here, which is why this is our favorite out of the package.

Ant Brooks first premiered on Dancing Astronaut for his remix of Michael Woods’ “Bullet.” Since then he has come out with “Soleil” and follows that release up with “Reflekt” a groovy tech-disco tune that is perfect for grooving on the dancefloor. While this tune may not be the big room anthem you are searching for, it is great for lounging around the house or enjoying the simple things in life. The vocals are reminiscent of songs in the early 80′s – they have that soul flavor that never gets old. Start off your night in fashion with “Reflekt.”

Michael Woods premiered both of these tracks in his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix just last week. Both of these tunes are vastly different when compared to each other, but they both fit the standard Woods’ mold. They are deep, progressive, and will instantly grab your attention. Let’s dive into the details of both these tracks below.
Michael Woods created “No Access” in late 2010, he now follows up that release with its sequel – “Full Access.” This tune is fully equipped with a hard bassline that features a synth filled drop. This is one of those tracks that begs for you to listen to it live, because your headphones will not do it the justice it deserves.

“Let The Games Begin” brings out a heavy set of drums. We envision this being a great ‘pump me up’ track, great for transitioning between more notable tracks. Song selection is very important these days when constructing a set, “Let The Games Begin” qualifies for one of those set ‘fillers’ that all DJs covet.

Matisse & Sadko’s previous releases are the most uplifting progressive tracks you have heard. Both “Svenska” and “Hi Scandinavia!” both use lead synths to their advantage. “Amulet” is more of a tech oriented track – while the sweeping and pulsing sounds in the bassline are still prevalent, the track itself is more soothing than uplifting. This duo is definitely going to get their names plastered everywhere due to their release of “Trio” alongside Arty. Look for this tandem to make a splash near you shortly.

Tommy Trash’s “Ohwurm” brings out a completely different sound from the Australian artist we have come to love. The funkiness of the track is unique and meant to hit hard in a club. We believe Tommy created this so he had a curveball to throw in the middle of his sets to keep us on our feet. Either way – December 19th has been a great day because we not only got “Ohwurm,” but we also purchased his “Sending My Love” remix as well. Two Trash songs in one day? Brilliant. Watch the teaser video above if you want to grasp what Tommy’s lifestyle is like.

Tommy Trash – Ohwurm (Style Of Eye Remix)
Style Of Eye’s remix is a little more fidgety as if the track itself is trying to tell a story. Both the original mix and remix are on the ‘darker’ side of things, but Style Of Eye’s rendition is mysterious as if you don’t know what is going to happen next. The distortions in the drop will appeal to the grungiest of electro fans.
