We know it’s Saturday and you’re probably still hung over from last night, but we just wanted to let you know about an awesome opportunity to catch some of the action from Belgium’s one-of-a-kind Tomorrowland Festival. That’s right, Be@ TV is streaming some of the headliners’ sets, starting at 10AM EST with Steve Aoki. Avicii takes the stage at 1PM Eastern, followed by Martin Solveig at 2:30, and Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike at 4. All you need to do is click the link below, and it’ll be like you’re there — minus the unbearable heat of course. There’s an impressive backlog of content also available for when it’s all over, but let’s not forget about that other livestream that went on this week either.
We’ve got a special giveaway for some lucky DA fans in the LA area courtesy of Insomniac Events in the form of two tickets to next weekend’s Audiotistic Festival. The massive festival goes down next Saturday at the NOS Event Center in San Bernadino, and it looks to be jam packed with big names. Some of the many artists that’ll be playing on one of the four massive stages are Diplo, Porter Robinson, Bingo Players, Chris Lake, Major Lazer, Arty, and even Showtek. If you’re not feeling particularly lucky (or don’t like taking risks), you can still pick up tickets by hitting up this link. Be sure to check out the full lineup, and check out the official teaser we’ve embedded after the break.
Avicii’s definitely no stranger to LA’s Music Box, but we wanted to let Astronauts around the world experience it too. So we chronicled the action with live video footage, and chopped it together into the three and a half minute video above. Much like many of Avicii’s appearances around the globe, this piece of art is not one to be missed. Oh, and don’t forget to head over to our YouTube page for even more awesome video content from the DA team. #teamavicii
Tristan Garner himself hit us up on Twitter to let us know about a new track he’s got coming out called “Shine Again” — not to be confused with the Avicii/David Guetta collaboration, “Sunshine.” The progressive banger features vocals from Abigail Bailey, and though it’s only a two minute preview for now, there’s no denying that this’ll be tearing down dancefloors everywhere very soon. It’s got a scheduled release date for August 9th, but you can certainly bookmark the YouTube video for safekeeping — and instant raging — till then.
Last month Dancing Astronaut teamed up with Reboot Music & ATL Night Life for our first ever East coast event. While its safe to say our inaugural party was a success, we brought the visual evidence to prove it. Yes, that’s an actual Astronaut dancing at the 1:15 mark. Enjoy!
After we saw Swedish House Mafia at EDC, we told you that they were the best in the business. Then yesterday the trio upped the ante and partnered with iTunes to bring their show to the masses live. If you follow us on Twitter — and let’s face it, if you don’t, you should – you would’ve noticed an odd uptick in tweets yesterday afternoon. We could barely contain our excitement as Axwell wore his headphones like goggles, Angello brushed his hair out of his face, and Seb rocked out jumping around ferociously. To say we were blown away by this liveset would be an understatement.
SHM simply knows how to throw a spectacle and capitalize on all fronts. The entire stream is now available to watch again and again via iTunes or the equally awesome (and distracting) iTunes Festival app, which is also full of other live shows that Apple’s hosted in the past. We can’t wait for another one of these to go down, and wish that all concerts could be streamed like this. Hit the Via link to watch it again for yourself for the next 30 days. Oh well, we still have the EDC movie…
This track keeps you guessing. At first it starts off with a winding progressive beat, you think to yourself “this is sort of groovy”. In comes the underrated vocals which mesh perfectly with the impressive bassline, and at 3:55 is your first “holy crap” moment. Start the fist pumping a few seconds earlier, because shit is about to get wild. Remember the name Ken Loi – he will be a house-hold (get it?) name in a few months.

Our old friend R3hab is back with another monster, and this time he’s teaming up with the incredibly talented Max C to give it that perfect singalong quality. “Sending My Love” has all the signature “bl33ps” that make his productions so memorable and infectious, but also blows out the synths to the point where all the sounds work together perfectly. We’ve confirmed with the man himself that both Afrojack and the Swedish House Mafia have been playing it out. Yeah, we told you it was big. Listen to it below.
Yesterday we dropped the funk with some tracks from the British duo NAPT, and we are already headed back across the pond. This time we’ve got another infectious tech house track, “I’m a Freak” from Mixmash Records’ own Micky Slim. The I’m a Freak EP was released on Beatport today, featuring two remixes from Mind Electric and Gina Turner that are guaranteed to make the dance floor bounce.
Caution: If you are at club and are standing close to the huge subs you may physically be blown away when the drop hits. The folks here at Dancing Astronaut are worried about your safety. “Louder” is a ‘tougher’ track than the synth heavy big room tunes he has been pumping out recently (think: “Zero 76” and “The World“). Hardwell keeps punishing 2011 with his wide variety of styles and sounds, besides being a DJ/Producer extraordinaire, he also has made his label Revealed very prominent. With all eyes on Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, and Afrojack recently maybe it’s time we divert some attention to this young stud! N-JOY!
