Damian Lazarus has reached a noteworthy milestone with the 100th release on his famed Crosstown Rebels imprint. In celebration, Tiga — who has been on a four year production hiatus — has been commissioned to bring to fruition The Picture EP, with rising talent Subb-an contributing to the remix package. The legend of Tiga is a vast one, and his contribution to dance music, even bigger. Damian Lazarus’ long time friendship with him makes all the sense for this momentous release.

“The Picture,” the lead song on the EP, is a dark techno track with Tiga’s gloomy vocals over a repetitive drum pattern. “Pleasure From The Bass” — with its fitting title — is upbeat and funky, featuring bleeps and a propelling bassline that makes this release an all around great one. Jump past the break to see the full release, including Subb-an’s remix.
