Though he made a name for himself with creative dubstep remixes of popular songs, in the past few months, Butch Clancy has invested his energies almost exclusively in the flourishing, hip-hop-inspired genre of trap. For the past nine weeks or so, Clancy has gifted a plethora of free originals as part of his Trap Tuesdays series. Concluding the series, Clancy has organized the nine trap singles into a bulky LP entitled A Beautiful Mind. Butch Clancy, hailing from Detroit, has been releasing bass music for the past few years. As trap emerged in 2012, Clancy, who is characterized by his complex drum lines and dark vibes began new experimentation. Now testing the waters of the hip-hop infused genre, Clancy brings us his latest production “A Beautiful Mind.”
The free download is the second installment of Butch Clancy’s new #TrapTuesdays, which will feature a new trap production from the rising star. “A Beautiful Mind” hits at the tempo of trap, while Clancy incorporates pitch-down vocals, sirens, bass booms and chopped kick drums.
