Unlike the compilation’s other notable singles, “Nehalennia” and “D# Fat,” BT’s production slows down the heavy-hitters with a delicate, soothing harmony. Delivering old-fashion bliss for an album that has accelerated in sound, BT takes ASOT fans directly to cloud nine. “Skylarking” has been made available on Beatport and will hit remaining portals on March 4th courtesy of Armada.

Amid the excitement of ASOT 600, the trance family’s patriarch has released a new compilation for those who can’t wait for a live sermon. Out on Armada Music, A State of Trance 2013 kicks off with Armin and Arty’s impeccable “Nehalennia” before spinning out 32 more of the genre’s biggest sounds of the moment. Usual suspects Aly & Fila, Omnia and Bjorn Akesson are featured on the album, as well as Armin’s collaborations with W&W (“D# Fat”), Gaia (Humming The Lights”) and of course Markus Schulz, who Armin teamed up with for the official ASOT 600 Anthem, “The Expedition.” With the builds, breaks and heartstopping beats we’ve come to expect from the legendary journey that is A State of Trance, Armin’s latest effort just might be his best.

The exclusive records from Armin van Buuren’s forthcoming A State of Trance 2013 compilation are beginning to be unleashed to the public as snippets and teasers. Last week we had our first listen to Armin’s collaboration with Arty, “Nehalennia,” which made its radioshow debut on ASOT598. Now, we are graced with a preview of the next single off the album, “D# Fat,” a collaboration with trance icons W&W. It seems that Armin has another trance anthem on his plate, one the will be released on February 25th.
For those of us who have finally memorized A State of Trance 2012 Year Mix’s tracklist, Armada Music has a little surprise: slated for A State of Trance 2013 is a collab between one of trance’s rising stars and its undeniable supernova. Armin van Buuren has teamed up with Anjunabeats’ Arty on “Nehalennia,” a track that proves trance has continued to evolve and is 2013-ready. Combining the uplifting qualities of Armin classics with a more energized bassline and tonal vocals, “Nehalennia” has all the makings of a trance anthem. ASOT listeners will be treated to the full version on tomorrow’s ASOT598 – for everyone else the track will be available February 11 exclusively through Beatport.
