Above & Beyond have announced that North London’s Alexandra Palace will be the location for this year’s live broadcast of Group Therapy. The trio will take over the sprawling venue’s Great Hall on October 26, bringing still unrevealed guests with them for Group Therapy 050. The show will be broadcast around the world, but for those in the area, registration for presale tickets ends tonight at Midnight, BST. Presale tickets go on sale April 24th at 9 A.M. Ahead of the March 4th release of the now highly regarded label showcase, Anjunabeats has announced the thirty-song tracklist for Anjunabeats Volume 10. If you’re a close follower of the Anjunabeats label or regular listener of the ABGT weekly show, you were probably already good to guess some of what Anjuna would be including, but now you can digest the entirety of the release — which includes 30 exclusive (and largely unreleased) tracks from more than twenty artists that often call Anjunabeats their home. If that isn’t enticing enough, Above & Beyond themselves will also throw in four of their own previously unreleased productions. Guy J, an Israeli producer we’ve seen steamrolling forward in 2012 with the launch of his Lost & Found imprint (under megastar John Digweed‘s Bedrock label), is out with his second release on the infant imprint. The two tracks “Vaga” and “We Do It Best” show, as always, Guy’s genre-spanning and melodic production style that lies somewhere in the midst of pure progressive house, tech house, and trance sensibilities. He’s also put out records on labels like Tiga‘s Turbo and techno mainstay Cocoon — only further evidence he can meld with producers associated with pretty distinct scenes within the genre. Today is Thanksgiving. It’s a time to give thanks for good health, good friends, good family, and, of course, good music. We thought we’d take the time to pay tribute to our favorite parts of dance music culture on this day of thanks, not only for the guys who slave over turntables while we get to party, but for the dance music scene in general and its constantly expanding fanbase. This one’s for the EDM acts that put their heart and soul into it, the clubs that go all out every night of the week, and the people who live and breathe house music. It’s the least we can do.
As a trailer for their 450th and final Trance Around The World and first Above & Beyond Group Therapyshows, the A&B team released a visually stunning trailer showcasing a cute acoustic cover by Lagori of their megahit, “Sun and Moon.” The show airs live this Saturday evening and will broadcast sets from Jody Wisternoff, Andrew Bayer, Norin & Rad, Mat Zo, and Above & Beyond in a marathon six hour event.
