British producer Redlight has developed quite a following with his eclectic garage house productions. Some of you might remember us bringing you his last single, “Get Out My Head.” Well we have more from Redlight as he previews his upcoming single “Lost In Your Love.” The track is defined by an extremely catchy piano chord melody which is guaranteed to have you hitting the repeat button a few times. “Lost In Your Love” has already gotten strong support from Annie Mac & Mistajam among others and is out August 6th on Polydor Records.
British house maestro Stuart Price has more aliases than we care to name. However, regardless of which moniker he releases under, the production quality is second to none. He made a name for himself in the late 90s with his Les Rythmes Digitales album and followed that up with huge remixes of Felix Da Housecat’s “Silver Screen Shower Scene” and Royksopp’s “What Else Is There.” After that Stuart took a break from the DJ circuit to win three Grammys producing for Madonna and The Killers. Yeah, he’s pretty talented.
Well, the Thin White Duke shows that he still has what it takes. His remix of Coldplay’s “Charlie Brown” is absolutely massive. From the melodic build to the surprisingly heavy electro bassline to the addictive flute riff, everything about the remix works in perfect harmony. Incredibly Coldplay chose to reject Jacques’ remix but we predict them changing that decision after they see the public reception. This is a track you do not want to miss!
Annie Mac continues her great tradition of free music Mondays by giving away Karma Kid’s remix of Bwana’s “Baby, Let Me Finish.” Karma Kid, a 17 year old producer from the UK, remixes “Baby, Let Me Finish” into a funky, bounce infused garage tune. It is a very impressive effort from the 17 year old, and we’re adding Karma Kid our list of young talented producers to watch. Have a listen below and grab the free download here!
In an age where DJ skills and set preparation are rightfully scrutinized, one artist continues to lead a new wave . Of course, we’re talking about Madeon — the young phenomenon whose impressive studio talents mirror that of his live performances. A rarity in today’s EDM scene, you won’t get generic outro-intro transitions in his mixes. Everything is fast-paced, with greater emphasis on harmonics as opposed to simple beat-matching. So who better to take on one of Annie Mac’s Five Minute Minimixes than Madeon?
Compiling 93 tracks in 5 minutes (roughly 3.3 seconds per song) is nothing short of astonishing, but that’s what makes Madeon, well, Madeon. The launch pad master sampled everything from Lady Gaga and the Beatles, to Deadmau5 and Daft Punk, making his previous “Pop Culture” mash-up/mix look like child’s play.
You’ve probably heard of The Wideboys before because of their extensive work remixing mainstream artists such as Aloe Blacc, Taio Cruz, Alex Gaudino & Jason Derulo. They are back with their latest single “The Word.” The track, premiered on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show, combines elements of traditional Garage with sounds that are almost French Electro House. There are some really cool remixes of this coming out that really encompass everything from Drum & Bass to House to Electro. “The Word” is out on May 14th, check out the preview below.
Annie Mac has been playing this every week on her Radio 1 show and absolutely loves it. “Get Out My Head” is a piano chord driven garagey house track that epitomizes some of the really interesting bass music coming out of the UK the
se days. For those of you who are unfamiliar with him, Redlight is a dubstep/garage producer hailing from Bristol, UK. He’s gotten loads of support from Rusko, Jack Beats, Skream among others. This is out on Chase & Status’ MTA Records on January 22nd. Check after the break for a bonus dubstep remix from Joker.
