Dual Canadian / Norwegian outfit Ansol are back for the second of their exclusive free download series for Dancing Astronaut. Testing their fresh-faced take on the sound of peak time dance music once again, “Mandala” is yet another fine insight into why Ansol have looked unstoppable on the global circuit of late. Accompanied by original artwork from LA-based artists John Llamas & Jordi Conesa, round two of their studio clear out sets more positive motion towards the duos impending strike for Mixmash. Shortly after giving away their impressive “On My Own,” ANSOL reemerges alongside Ken Loi with a preview of their upcoming collaboration. Loi, still off his August release of “The Wall,” matches talent up with ANSOL for “Knock Down,” a frenetic electro house offering that comes as a warfare of laser-laden synths. Fitting for its host imprint, Laidback Luke’s MixMash, the collaboration’s energy is brought full circle with a vocal contribution from Mina. “Knock Down” will be released on September 30th but has already started making its round across DJ sets.Posted by
Canadian/Norwegian electro outfit ANSOL has fast ascended the industry ranks of late. At the tail end of a year that has mustered collaborative efforts alongside Paris & Simo and remix duties for Laidback Luke, the dual-nationality duo drops the first in a series of exclusive free downloads for DA. This spring, two Dutch heavyweights joined forces to release “Dynamo.” On one hand, there’s Laidback Luke‘s bouncy chords and a subtle taste of his signature bleep stylings, on the other there’s Hardwell‘s thunderous presence. Two months later, Laidback Luke brings “Dynamo” back to life on his Mixmash imprint and hands it over to some of his rising artists for remix duties.
Will Sparks injects an all new rhythm with tooting horns while Oliver Twizt returns with yet another trap mix. Ansol stretches the track’s melody but takes a gritty turn on the drop, and Sven Kirchhof offers the package’s most progressive tune. Listen to the remixes of Laidback Luke and Hardwell’s “Dynamo” below the break.
Up-and-coming duos, Ansol and Paris & Simo join forces for their latest barnburner, “Brainfire.” After successful outings from both camps it was only a matter of time before the four met in the studio, working together to create a chirpy big room banger worthy of the Ministry of Sound stamp of approval. Opening with some hefty reverb, “Brainfire” does the exact opposite of brainfreeze, igniting your senses with a massive synth lead and grizzly drop. Listen to the preview below, the full version will be available on May 17th.Posted by
Dyro has been producing remixes at a breakneck speed, and follows up his remix of “Close Enemies” after only a week. This time he takes on his own track, “Top of the World,” and gives it a heavy facelift.
‘I hate the fact that people see me as a producer of a certain genre. I want people to know what I’m capable of. And this remix was my way of showing that. Yes, it’s a dubstep track, and no, it’s not a new style. At first I made it as an edit to close my sets with, but I decided I wanted to share it with the world as it worked so well on the floor!’
If you want to catch Dyro live, he will be spinning at Pacha NYC with Hardwell on November 23rd, you can grab tickets here.
ANSOL, comprised of talented artists Aki Nair and Sebastian Sollerman, are teaming up with Canadian duo Dzeko &Torres to deliver their latest electro offering. “Y3ah!” is a follow up to their massive single with Dyro, “Top of the World,” and it is equally as giant as the two duos try to make a name for themselves. The synth laden beat builds while an electro bassline pushes the track forward, culminating with a big room drop. “Y3AH!” only gets bigger as it plays out, and it will certainly become a staple in big room sets, but for now, it’s available from MixMash Records on Beatport.
After a huge remix to “Can’t Stop Me” and the release of his original track “Paradox” Dyro is back again. This time he teams up with Canadian/Scandinavian duo Ansol. “Top of the World” has been featured in all of Afrojack’s biggest festival sets including UMF and is set to become an electro progressive banger. The light lyrics contrast nicely with Dyro’s signature electro drop to strike a balance that makes it the perfect big room track. “Top of the World” is now available on Beatport from Wall Recordings.
