The once upon a time “Nicktim” was released days before the calendar turned 2013 as “I Could Be The One,” but Avicii and Nicky Romero have released the remix package just this week. Making way for up-and-coming talent, renditions come from John Christian, Dank, and Bent Collective, who encompass a variety of sounds indistinguishable from the original. Christian turns the tempo up to full blast with chugging electro, Dank flips the original upside down with dubstep, and Bent Collective provides an outdoorsy dance vibe — the only thing missing is the initial melodic touch.

Avicii vs Nicky Romero – I Could Be The One (Bent Collective Remix) [Preview]

Avicii and Nicky Romero’s long-standing hit “I Could Be The One” gets the remix treatment from a trio of emerging talents known as Bent Collective. Italy’s Danny Verde, Beglium’s Steven Redant, and Israel’s Guy Scheiman make up the group, and together have remixed the heavily-rotated track into a techy, upbeat rework. Without altering the original vocal or structural elements of the track, the group presents a remix with infectious groove and bouncy chord progression. The Avicii camp has given this one their golden stamp of approval, so expect it to get plenty of play time from Mr. Bergling himself.
