With the first ever album to be released exclusively via Spotify, Cazzette have completed the unveiling of their debut LP, Eject. While part one brought their charting single “Beam Me Up” and multi-BPM original “The Rat,” part two saw the release of the melody-driven originals “Weapon” and “I Surrender.” Part three, however, is arguably the most coveted installment of them all. Click past the break to listen to Eject on Spotify, as well as hear our thoughts on the album as a whole.
Cazzette continue to be on their bootleg-crazy tear, pounding out remix and edit hand over fist. This time they’ve drawn their inspiration from none other than the Dexter of eponymous TV fame. The track bleeds CZT from start to finish, with sounds occupying a space that only a few other players, such as Knife Party, have been able to experiment with successfully. It’s angry and tormented at times, to be sure, but in the end it’s as much a headphone experience as it is a dancefloor one.
