Techno maestro Gesaffelstein releases ‘Belgium’ and ‘Depravity’
Gesaffelstein, Gesaffelstein, Gesaffelstein, say that five times fast. Alongside label-mate and longtime friend Brodinski, Gesaffelstein has been creating some of the most unique and intriguing techno productions in recent memory. His style is crisp and clean while remaining dark and foreboding. This is the stuff that is born from the floors of warehouses, sweat soaked and primal with a heavy dose of weird. There isn't even the faintest glimmer of pop to be found here, no euphoric synths or big room vocals - just grinding, teeth-rattling techno.
Brodinski feat. Louisahhh! – Nobody Rules The Streets (Original Mix)
It's been awhile since I have listened to a track that made my jaw drop, one where the only way to describe it is with a deep breath and a long exasperated "FUCK. ME." Brodinski's latest, and his second collaboration with Louisahhh! is that type of track. Dark and brooding with one helluva kick, "Nobody Rules The Streets" might not be for casual dance music fans -- but for those of us looking for something less predictable (and ultimately more inspired) it's complete perfection. Louisahhh!'s vocals work perfectly overlaid atop the wailing sirens while the deep groove and bone-rattling kick keeps you entranced.
Scissor Sisters – Only the Horses (Brodinski Remix)
Today, Brodinski returns with a haunting re-imagining of the pop track. Deep and dark, Brodinski flexes his techno muscle with a driving bass line and wonky synths. Whenever we hear a new Brodinski remix, we can't help but question why this guy isn't getting more attention - every track he attaches his name to is impeccable. Watch for this one to be released on May 13th in the official remix package.
