Time for another treat that’s been premiered on Tiësto’s famed Club Life – this time a gem from Parisian DJ duo Jidax, otherwise known as “The French Phenomenon.” The 21-year-old prodigies have released several hit tracks on labels such as Dim Mak and PinkStar, including an official remix of Avicii’s “Fade into Darkness” that garnered support from the likes of Afrojack, Thomas Gold and others. “Legacy” is a smooth progressive track complete with catchy vocals, an upbeat tempo and alluring buildup – merci Jidax.
Looks like we aren’t done with holiday gifts quite yet — Canadian production team Sultan & Ned Shepard just released an Indie Mix of their monster hit “Walls” off Tiesto’s Club Life Vol. 2 Miami from earlier this year as a free download on their Facebook page. As could be expected from the title, this mix strips out the big room sound of this track and replaces it with a twinkly and soft bottom line, perfect for ending a long night out. Enjoy the free track below!
Miami-based, Henrix has been picking up a lot of steam lately since a few of his tracks including “Let’s Rave” have been featured on Tiesto’s Club Life podcasts. His newest EP consists of five huge tracks like “Encore,” which samples the Jay-Z song of the same name — but not in the way you would expect. There is something surprising in all of the tracks, like “Destiny” where a hard-hitting bass is contrasted with lighter synths. The best part about this EP is that it’s free, so grab it past the break and let us know what you think in the comments. (more…)
We’ve got bad news for Tiesto fans: due to a back injury, Tiesto has “been advised to take the month of October off from performances.” That means his historic Los Angeles show at the Staples Center, along with a string of dates for the latest Club Life College Invasion tour have been postponed until February for the most part. Tickets for October shows will be honored at the rescheduled dates, but refunds are also being offers.
“I hate to disappoint my fans and be told I have to sit still for a while, but I am relieved we were able to reschedule the dates. I’m looking forward to seeing you all very soon!”
Keep reading for all the rescheduled tour dates, as well as ticket refund information. Get well soon, Tijs!
Update: Since the tour dates are now changed, supporting artists are not yet confirmed for the updated schedule. More information to come soon.
We’re still enjoying Arty’s latest releases like “Open Space” and his “Spectrum” remix, but of course he’s obviously still working on new material. Well, Tiesto premiered one of the Russian’s newest offerings on his most recent podcast, giving the world its first listen of “Grand Final.” As with most Arty tracks, it’s got a slow but uplifting build, and a nice section in the middle to change things up. There’s not much other info available about the track just yet, but check out an unofficial rip from YouTube below.
Tiesto already has his own radio channel on SiriusXM with a very impressive lineup, but he’s looking to add a new show to the mix — and he’s giving you the chance to host it. For the contest, fifteen winners will each win tickets to an upcoming Club Life College Invasion tour date and host a one hour show that will air on Club Life Radio. At the tour’s conclusion, Tiesto himself will choose one of the candidates to host a monthly show on the channel for up to six months. It’s a pretty incredible opportunity for an aspiring DJ or producer — hit the link below for all the details, and be sure to enter before the contest closes on September 21st.

He’s back with another quality offering, “Angels,” which premiered on Tiesto’s Club Life 269. Loi maintains the coquettish vocals of the original but breathes new life into the track with a melodic build and swirling synths. We’re keeping this San Fransiscan producer on our radar because we expect big things from him — and so does Tiesto.
Today was a usual jam-packed Music Monday, but there’s still so much more we didn’t get around to posting. Keep reading for DA’s Best of the Rest, for Monday July 30th, 2012.
Boom. Hot on the heels of a cryptic teaser showcasing footage of Los Angeles, we have official confirmation that Tiesto will be playing the Staples Center on October 20th, 2012. With a capacity of just over 18,000, Tiesto will not be breaking his own record that he set at the Home Depot Center last year, but it’s definitely a high profile venue that will inevitably sell out for the high profile DJ and producer. You may recall that Kaskade recently sold out the space for his Freaks of Nature Tour, which was also streamed online for the world. We’re not yet sure if Tiesto will take the same route, but if you’re reading this Tijs, just know, we’d really appreciate it if you do.
Tiesto is taking a page from Swedish House Mafia’s (former) playbook, releasing a cryptic teaser for what looks like a massive show in Los Angeles this October. The YouTube video is simply titled “Coming October 2012,” and combines footage from Tiesto’s live shows with sweeping shots of the City of Angels, all atop the chilling intro sequence for “Chasing Summers.”
It’s worth noting that there are no announced LA dates for Tiesto’s upcoming Club Life Invasion Tour 2012, but that he will already be playing three shows in California October 17, 18, and 19th. Will Tiesto try to break his own record and top his enormous Home Depot Center show that went down last October? Hopefully we’ll be finding out soon.
