Technomic’s numbers for 2012′s highest grossing nightclubs, bars, and lounges are out. Who do you think tops the list? Last year Marquee Nightclub/Dayclub in Las Vegas and XS in Las Vegas took the number one and two spots. Eight out of the top ten grossers were in Vegas. This year, there are 21 entries on the list from Vegas alone, 22 from California, and 8 from New York. Click through to check out the list in its entirety.
If you had to guess, which of your favorite nightclubs would you suppose grosses the most revenue over the course of the year? How much do you think the highest grossing club in the United States makes? A 2012 study sponsored by Technomic, a food industry consulting firm, reveals all to you, dear reader. It’s no surprise that Vegas clubs dominate the top of this list in terms of gross revenue per year, with many clubs in California, New York, Miami, Jersey, and Chicago following up with strong appearances. There are other more surprising entries on the list (who knew Kansas City has a club scene?), but take a look at the full list for yourself below. Note: these are 2012 numbers. New York nightlife heats up: Finale opening on Halloween, Space Ibiza coming in 2013, Marquee NY under renovation, new Cielo in Brooklyn (updated)
Nightlife in New York is about to get a whole lot more exciting, with a number of new or updated clubs being announced by some of the biggest players in the game. Finale NYC (pictured above) will be opening next week as a partnership between the EMM Group and owners of Pacha NYC, Space Ibiza confirms that it will be opening a location in New York, and Marquee NY is under major renovations —
and is said to have a partnership in place with Tiesto (see update below). Oh, and we’ve got exclusive details on Nicolas Matar’s latest project — a new Cielo in Brooklyn.
